Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow.
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
The blessing by faith, I receive from above;
O glory! my soul is made perfect in love;
My prayer has prevailed, and this moment I know,
The blood is applied, I am whiter than snow.
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow.
Now wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Snow is always a surprise in the Puget Sound area of Washington state. We only had about 4 inches, other areas got more. Some trees are down, some power is out and there are delays at the airport. Many schools are closed today. Our kids in Northeastern Washington got a foot of snow overnight. Our son is busy plowing his drive which is a long one to the main road below their home. We are not a region that is guaranteed snow and we are not good drivers in snow. One of the really scary things is that our area is very hilly with many steep roadways. Consider San Francisco if it got snow and you get the scary picture.
Headed out for a walk about the neighborhood. Happy Monday everyone.
Wonderful snowy pictures, Ellen! I love that hymn too as it relates very closely to my prayer for salvation when I was just 7 years old!
I love that hymn and your snow photos are so beautiful. Do be careful!
There is something magical about newly fallen snow. I’m missing it this year.
Isn’t this a ridiculous amount of snow we’ve gotten? My grandsons have been out in it playing for a long time!
So beautiful!!! The trees look incredible don’t they. Hope you have stayed safe and warm!
Oh, that is just beautiful, Ellen. Especially that last image with that tree covered in white. Glad to be viewing that through my computer monitor 😉
I happened to watch the weather channel long enough to know that you got some snow. It does look pretty over there. Time to stay home and cozy down.
You have me humming that beautiful hymn! The snow is just so pretty but do be careful on the roads! We are bracing for an ice storm tonight/tomorrow – would much rather have snow!!!
Ice storms are scary Rosella…stay safe!
Beautiful hymn– beautiful snow!Snow and ice make driving hazardous–stay safe! Our part if Colorado used sand to make the roads less slippery and when we went up to the mountains to see the snow sculptures a rock hit our windshield and left a crack–happily t was able to be repaired without changing the windshield. It is always an adventure driving in the mountains..lol
…a winter wonderland.
