…looking forward to what you have in store for us. In the meantime here are some favorites from the end of summer and the very beginning of Fall.
If you missed the recipe for my Pear and Almond Tart on MGCC click away and get it now. You can make this with canned pears.
Our hydrangeas are waning nicely with their colors fading in a pretty way.
Colors are changing on our plants and the leaves are changing and falling.
Our neighbor Pat died this summer and a couple weekends ago there was an estate sale in her home. I ended up buying her drop leaf tea trolley to remember her by. I waited till the last day of the sale when everything was half off to make my purchases. We found a spot for it and we have plans to make a few changes to it. It cost me $20.
Early fall shots of our home from the back of our property. We do welcome Fall/Autumn at this old house.
Thankful for Autumn and all it brings like new colors to enjoy, comfort food, cooler weather, cozy fires, and new adventures.
Thank you Lord for who you are and your love and care over us.

Your home/yard are so pretty. I just love Autumn. The tea trolley is really nice and I would love to have one. I will be anxious to see the changes you make. Hope your evening is pleasant.
I, too, am welcoming fall! It doesn’t feel much like fall here today, but I think the temperatures are expected to cool a bit over the weekend.
Your yard looks lovely! It is so fun to see glimpses of autumn, inside and out!
Wow – that tea cart is a bargain and so nice. Your place is looking great and those hydrangeas are just beautiful! Here’s to Fall!
BTW – enjoy your travels next week. Can’t wait to hear all about that play!! Just wish I could come …
Your drop-leaf tea trolley is wonderful! What an awesome way to remember your neighbor! LOVE the hydrangeas and leaves! That pear tart looks amazing!
Loving your fall pictures, Ellen!!! Love that tea cart too.
What a lovely drop-leaf tea trolley Ellen and so nice to remember your neighbour by.
We actually haven’t had many fall changes yet. It’s been warm for Sept. But today is the first hint that fall is actually here. I’m looking forward to the foliage change and crisp air!
Your place looks lovely!

You’ve captured the colours & flavours of fall perfectly, Ellen!
Your yard is lovely!
Lovely to see your moments from autumn. The tea trolley will be a lovely addition to your home and way to remember your friend too, it is very pretty isn’t it. Thank you for joining Five On Friday, lovely to see you, have a good weekend! xx
You do a good job of welcoming autumn! Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂
Lovely welcoming photos of Autumn. Not quite here yet in Michigan but it is on its way!
Happy Five on Friday!
The pear tart looks delicious. Will have to try that. Your hydrangeas are still very colourful. Ours are very brown and faded. Have a lovely weekend 🙂 B
Lovely Autumn images. Here, there are signs in nature of the changing season, but vegetation is still mainly green. Once the leaves on the huge cherry tree in our neighbour’s garden change colour there’s a wonderful orange glow that comes right into our back room windows.
That tea trolley is gorgeous, and what a deal! What a sweet way to remember your friend.
It’s not looking or feeling too fallish just yet here, but I trust it will before long. The mornings are nice but the afternoons are still pretty hot and sticky.
Warm and welcoming — just the way an Autumn home should be! The tart looks wonderful and your neighbor’s tea cart looks just like it belongs and it is a lovely way to remember her.
This is a great post! I love autumn too and your list at the end reminds of why I love autumn.
That tea cart–swoon!! It’s beautiful!
Oh my! That tea cart is gorgeous! And what a great way to remember your friend.
Love love love your hydrangeas! I feel a tad of envy because I can’t grow them. Your other fall pics are gorgeous, too.
I loooove that tea cart! What a steal of a deal and a lovely way to to have a memory of her. Autumn is my favorite and it looks like the colors are looking lovely at your place. That pear tart looks very delicious.
As I don’t like autumn at all, I am happy that it still looks like summer here in Belgium. The weather is sunny and warm the trees green and no sign of autumn !
i love all the early autumn colors in your post!!
that little drop leaf table is adorable and what a great price!
enjoy the cooler temps,
