Bird on a fence in San Diego, California.
My fence behind my blooming forsythia. Spring has come early to the Pacific Northwest.
Fun sign in a breakfast spot in Oregon.
Such a random assortment of photos from different times and 3 different states. I’m feeling a bit random myself these days. Here we are in March already. March is my birthday month and it is our daughter and son-in-law’s anniversary month. March is also the spring forward month (this weekend!!). I’m headed to Eastern Washington on Saturday for an overnight trip to go Bridal dress shopping with our future daughter in law. This Sunday is the opening game for the Seattle Sounders Soccer team! March has come in like a lamb this year. What are you looking forward to in March?
I’m linking to Signs, signs with Lesley and Good Fences with TexWisGirl at Run*A*Round Ranch Report.
Sure sign that spring is here…birds singing and forsythia blooming!
Love the bird on the fence. Great capture.
The bird on the fence is pretty cute.
My SIGNS, SIGNS
I especially like your “signs” of spring…the little bird and the cheerful forsythia! I am looking for some signs around here, but more snow is expected tomorrow, so I guess I’ll keep looking.
Sounds like you have a very busy month!
sounds like you’ll be busy! i love your blooming bush!!! thanks, ellen!
Love the signs and the beautiful ForCynthia plant. Our name for it, from how our daughter understood it as a toddler (her name and it blooms around her birthday .usually,… We lived in Eastern Washington then).
I love the first one, it’s precious 🙂
Have a fine time going girls only shopping :))

Great images, I always enjoy seeing the birds perched on the fences.. Wishing you a early happy birthday.. Have a great day!
yes, spring is on the way!
Love your bird shot. – Yep the Forsythia is blooming here as well. Are you headed to the Tri-Cities or Spokane for the dress shopping? What fun it is to do bridal shopping.
We’ll be in Spokane, Ida. My son and future DIL live north of Spokane.
Hello Ellen! Love it. That bird picture is SO pretty. I have noted that for “future” quilt ideas. 🙂
Your old school address book comment made me chuckle. See? That just proves what I have been trying to tell my parents about not needing fancy phones. 🙂
Also, I made beef stroganoff a few nights ago — and just found out that it is a Russian dish. Silly me, I have always thought it is a German dish. Did your Mom have a special recipe for it that makes it authentically Russian other than adding lots of sour cream? 🙂
Wendy, my mom did not have a special recipe for Beef Stroganoff but I have one in our 2nd cookbook that is a delicious one. I also make a simple hamburger one that kids enjoy. it was a family go to when my kids were growing up.
Please send some of your spring weather to Texas. Had five inches of snow this morning. Love the bird on the wire.
Love that bird on a fence. Not a fan of clowns, but can appreciate the old big cut out one!
(and no sign of spring here, yet)
These are lovely Ellen, especially loved the little bird.
Great photos, Ellen! I especially love the Forsythia in bloom; ours isn’t blooming here yet — it’s still too cold. It looks like March will be a very busy month for you! What day of the month is your birthday — wishing you a happy one! 🙂
Thanks for your visit today and have a wonderful weekend, Ellen!
Hugs,
Denise
Lovely that spring is with you. Great shots.
the forsythia image is beautiful.
