Last Friday I had a wonderful walk on the beach. My sister Vera lives a few blocks from Huntington Beach in Southern California and we always enjoy walking down and taking in the sea air. On this day we walked down with my brother Leonard, SIL Mandy, niece Hope, new nephew Andrew, and my sister Vera.
We were wondering how Andrew would react to the ocean waves.
Hope went in with no fear and Andrew watched from the sand.
We left my brother to enjoy watching the kids while the three of us walked along the tide line for an hour.
We walked up the beach and then down again to the pier.
Andrew kept quite busy building in the sand.
Do you live anywhere near an ocean shore? We live close to the shores of Lake Washington and a short drive to the Puget Sound but we have to travel a few hours to get to the Pacific Ocean.
Andrew is a cute little boy!
This is a lovely posting and I always love to go to the beach!
Beautiful beach pictures with the family! So nice that Andrew got to meet more of his new family, including you. It looks like you had a very busy and enjoyable weekend!
Oh, you got some beautiful pictures, Ellen!! I love the ocean…it’s vastness and beauty always points to God. I was fascinated by the view through the posts of the pier. Of course, glimpses of loved ones sharing time together always make good pictures.
Looked like a Summer’s day. Our nearest beech 45 minutes away but only the Thames Estuary. An hour to get to the shores of the North Sea. Very, very cold right now.
What a pretty day at the beach. We live thirty minutes from the Atlantic Ocean and manage to “get there” once or twice a year.
Beautiful pictures!
What a fun day you must have had, Ellen! I love all these pretty shadow shots, and the little ones are so cute. 😀 We live about four hours from the coast here in North Carolina, so we don’t get to visit there nearly as often as we’d like to. We are very blessed to have a beach cottage in the family, though, so I really can’t complain.
Thanks for sharing your lovely ocean views with us. Enjoy the rest of your week and stay warm!
Hugs,
Denise
Love the pictures underneath the pier. Looks like a fun day for all involved. Totally land locked here. I’ve only seen the ocean once in my life. Been on lots of lake beaches but it’s very different from an ocean beach.
