Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary to my sister Kathy and her hubby Len. This was the third wedding in 1974 in our extended family.

Great pictures! In 1971, three of my siblings were married in the same year – the styles were all very similar!
Man did she ever get a LOT of wedding gifts! And like all us ’70s brides we can go see those wonderful wedding gifts being offered as “antiques” in antique shops now. Eeekkk!
I would have been able to guess that they had a mid 1970’s wedding as she is wearing the very popular Priscilla of Boston inspired bridal gown with the high neck, high waist, sheer full sleeves and upper bodice area. My dress had the same basic elements which I wore two year after hers. I still think the style was dreamy!

I just love to look at wedding pictures from the 70s. There was still such an innocence and sweetness about it all, so far removed from the era of conspicuous consumption to follow just a decade later.

These photos are so reminiscent of the era that I could have almost thought they were our own photos as we got married in 1975 with similar colors. I also had a bouquet of yellow roses like that and similar dress.
