3 full shopping carts of goodies for Katie and Andrew’s Base housing. Katie had a pocket full of gift cards that she had received at Bridal showers. We spent it all. When everything was bagged up we had to lug 4 shopping carts out to the car. Today we continued our quest to get some essentials. The more we work around the house the more we find we need. You know things like scissors and trash cans
On Saturday we are driving to Raleigh to pick up a used car that Andrew’s step brother found for Katie and Andrew. We’ll pick up Dear from the airport and drop off our rental car. This next week we’ll be breaking in the used car and making sure everything works well.

It’s so exciting isn’t it, Ellen, to help your daughter set up her home? She looks so happy! How did you transport her bridal shower gifts? I will have to prepare to send my daughter’s gifts form NY to Colorado ina few months.

Yes, I do know how you soon learn that you don’t have everything you need for housekeeping like tape and sewing kits and colanders and what have you. Hope that you gals have fun setting things up and don’t forget, we’d love to see it when you’re finished. What good friends to help so much with the task by giving gift cards. Highly practical and generous!
It looks and sounds like you’re having so much fun! Hope you had a handful of BBB coupons for all those things. It’s such a blessing to be able to work together to set up Katie’s and Andrew’s home, and I’m sure you’re both thankful and loving every moment of it.
That is “beyond” indeed, hahahaha! That’s what so fun about being a newly wed and setting up house. 🙂

I love how you and your dear make yourself available to help Katie set up! It will help you to know that she is properly settled and that when Andrew comes they will be well on the way to having a cozy home set up. Isn’t it fun that you can do this together?
