You Asked For It!

My Metamorphosis…

From gray roots to covered up with subtle highlights and not so subtle new identity. Meet the new Ellen b. Elle Kadriya!

It’s amazing what covering up your gray can do! I might have mislead some of you into thinking I was going in for a real change with my hair. I am a hair wimp. I can’t handle anything too fancy so it will be the classic bob for me until I die. I might be real bold and go a little lighter in highlights for the wedding next year…time will tell.

Today is a day off for me. That might sound funny since I’m pretty much retired. Even when you don’t have a job outside the home there are weekly schedules you are committed to. So when I say day off I mean I have no commitments on the calendar today. It feels refreshing just thinking about it. What are you doing today?

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iโ€™m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Ellen, your post made me smile! ๐Ÿ™‚ You look great! I am a hair wimp too – I would like to have a fancy hairdo, but I can never decide what to do with my hair, and no matter how the hairdresser cuts my hair, my hair seems to always revert back to the same look. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Very nice!! I just had my hair done too and went with the lighter highlights – I thought they were too blonde but everyone else seems to love them so I’ll stick with them.

This is my only day this week without things on the calendar. So I went for walk, cleaned a bit, and now I’m checking blogs while I eat my lovely big salad lunch. (a few pounds need to come off before the wedding here!)

  3. Looks lovely! Going a bit lighter each year is a great plan to ease out of dark hair color.

Wish I was retired. I’ve got cataloging to do, a survey to fill out, and a handbook to write. I am trying not to give a heartfelt growl.

  4. Oh I wish I had booked my root appointment for this week instead of next. ..your color looks great. . .and I love your side job. . .looks like you have “fun” planned on your day off.

  5. Ha! You’ve taken up belly dancing with a dish towel, I love it!!!!! You ARE becoming bold Ellen B! I’ll bet by next year your highlights will be much lighter indeed. Oh we will see and stay tuned for more to come…hee hee!!!
I like the new color, but then I never noticed any gray on you in the first place. Now me, that’s another story ;-).

    Happy Thursday Ellen B!!

    xoxo cori g.

  6. I still have my zills from the ’70’s when I took belly dancing lessons – do you need them?
Great hair and now I’m wondering if I should lose my salt and pepper look!

  7. Zills, I have learned a new word! Looks good, E.
What am I doing? Wen to the doc yesterday as I had this painful rash on my lower leg and was feeling punky for a few days. Cellulitis! Yikes, have no idea how I got it.
So I have to stay off it, hot compresses and antib.
I am sneaking a little computer time in, I am behind on my visits.

    • I had to google zills, too, Kathleeen. I just learned something new, too.
I love my bloggy friends and what they teach me! So sorry about your ailment. Hope all is well soon!
