Where Oh Where…

…did Fall go?

The snow has been falling steadily since 7am this morning on our hill. Yes, we live on a hill which means for me “the driving in snow wimp” I’ll be stranded on this hill today and probably for most of tomorrow. Sometimes getting down the hill works but coming back up the hill doesn’t. Our daughter is a little concerned about her flight out of Seatac tonight. She’s headed to Florida to see her Marine who gets leave Thanksgiving weekend. She has all night flights with planes changing in San Jose and Atlanta. We’re praying for the best for her. Time will tell. Dear will be driving her to the airport not Mrs. Wimp. Our Thanksgiving company arrives tomorrow night from California. We already had our Thanksgiving meal at home but we are looking forward to being with a house full of our friends on Thursday. I’m bringing the Yams and a few other treats.

So how’s the weather where you are and what are your Thanksgiving plans?

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

  1. Oh how pretty. Praying safety and God’s favor on Katie’s travels! We’ve actually had the windows open for a few days…REALLY BIZARRE for us this late in November. But I was just out running errands in short sleeves and the cold front came through a bit earlier than forcasted….we’re going into the upper teens around Thursday! Party time at our house….

  2. You know me… I love the snow as long as I don’t have to shovel it.
If it’s snowing there…maybe it will come by this way.
I did not know that your name was Mrs. Whimp…I thought you’d plow through this stuff.

  3. Well…it looks like we are all having winter! Like you…our Thanksgiving dinner is in the past. But of course we will be thinking of all our friends and family who ware gathering around their tables on Thursday.

  4. I’m a wimp when it comes to driving in ice and snow too, which is bad since we have so much of it. Sometimes I just have to take courage and head out.

Hope Katie’s flights aren’t delayed and she gets to see her guy!

  5. I remember someone in your family experiencing a skid on an icy road. Your caution is NOT wimpy! Us California girls are not trained for these conditions.
I’ll be with Jeaneen and I’m bringing Yams too. Not sure what form they will take. I guess I better decide today.

  6. I’m not telling you MY weather!! haha.

BUT. I H.A.T.E. being cold! and R.E.A.L.L.Y H.A.T.E. driving in snow….so don’t feel like the only Mrs Wimp around!

    stay warm and snuggly!!
