Welcome to ABC Wednesday.
P is for the Pacific Ocean
We live about 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean. It’s such a blessing to be able to jump in the car and be at the ocean in 10 minutes! This is the Pt. Mugu area on the coast in Southern California.
These first two shots are taken right from the shore.
This is taken from about 25 feet above the water.
This shot is taken on one of our favorite hikes to Scenic Pt. about 450 feet above the Pacific.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and demanding a ransom for me to access them. I’m slowly cleaning up many of my posts where PB have added ugly black and grey boxes where my photos used to be. So frustrating!
Looks a great place – perfect P for ABC Wednesday
The place to be for us Northerners today!
Are you kidding me?! That is beautiful! I do hope I get to see it with my own eyes one day.
Ellen, these photos are stunning! The Pacific looks very peaceful now , that’s hardly unbelievable that it was the scene of fierceful fighting during WWII. What you said about jigsaw puzzles is true: whole families can be active for hours enjoying each others company in this way.
I wondered if you’d choose Pacific! Your photos are so inviting!
Ah… such beautiful photographs. I have been there a few times over my life in Vancouver, BC and enjoyed it. It is amazing!!

As usual, you’re waaaay ahead of me! It’s only Tuesday ’round these parts 😉 Loving the blues you’ve captured in these fabulous photos.
Absolutely lovely.
Wow Ellen!! These are wonderful captures of the waves and ocean! I love the gull also! You have such an eye and talent of capturing great shots!! Terrific!!
Gorgeous photos! We have Vancouver Island between us and the Pacific but I’ve been down the California coast and it is spectacular.
I love the Pacific! It’s Perfect!
It is a huge blessing to live close to the ocean!
Great series of images. I would love to be near the ocean!
These are beautiful photos. Just wow!!!
A very beautiful and perfect p.
That first shot looks so much like Pacifica Calif. I really did a double take. the rugged coastline is so beautiful.
How very fortunate for you that you only live 10 minutes away fro the Pacific ocean.
Paradise!!
Bear((( )))
Your Pacific Ocean looks different than mine .. .how come? Your Pacific Ocean looks warm and inviting. . .mine looks cold and very uninviting. . right about now.
Blessings
I love the second image of the two gulls on the rocks. Perfect P.
Wow!
These photos are spectacular!
OH wow…I could just feel the wind in my hair and I think I got a nice tan looking at the photos…that was just lovely!!!
My favourite P so far! Absolutely beautiful. The sea always does it for me.
Beautiful, wonderful shots! I too live by the water and so love seeing water views like these!
I love your photoes from the ocean. Have a nice day!
Yesterday evening I was lax, forgetting you were on my roll for ‘Team Treatment’ – I am one of the helpers to our hostess, Denise and it is my duty and pleasure to thank you for contributing to ABC Wednesday.
Those shots of the Pacific have me drooling – they are great.
The third shot is my favourite – what a gorgeous colour the water is, and it contrasts so well with the shore.
You’re very lucky.
I am on the Atlantic side, so I love the mix of mountains, cliffs, and sea. I have actually only been in the Pacific one time when I was in San Francisco!
What gorgeous photos! I’ve seen the Pacific Ocean on just two trips I’ve taken to the west coast. Sure do hope there’s more trips in my future to your beautiful coast!
Lovely! I love the different shades of blue you were able to capture in the photos.
Wonderful ocean photos! I feel similarly blessed here in Northern California, especially when we go to our Mendocino vacation house.
Hopw I love this ocean! Beautiful picts!
This is SO beautiful! I can’t believe you can be at the ocean in 10 minutes! I LOVE it!
I want hitthebeach5 framed on my wall!!! how do i get a copy? 🙂
I never appreciated the ocean when I lived near it. I think I could now.
Hi Dee:
I was just there in September and October. I did not know I had relatives there on my Dad’s side of the family.
