Psalm 95: 6,7 (ESV) ~ “Oh Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”

The photo of the door was taken in downtown Ventura where there are lots of great older homes and churches built in the early 1900’s. This is actually a building or house converted into a church. It is not where we worship…
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I posted on my blog from 2007-2015 hostage and replaced them with big black and grey boxes with threats. So discouraging…as I’m slowly trying to clean up thousands of posts!
What a beautiful church door. Is this where you worship?
That looks like it should be in the tropics somewhere. Great doors! I am singing the song now that goes with these verses!
too cool looking!
I love pictures of doors. There is just something about them. Those are beautiful church doors. Much more lovely than the glass double doors that seem to be the norm for churches now.
Good morning Ellen B.,
I seem to have no time for posting lately or for catching up, but I needed to stop by and say Hi. I think I’m about 6 posts behind on you…that is terrible.
These doors are lovely. They almost looks like doors to a synagogue. I think if I lived in Ventura I’d have to try the church out once just to see what’s behind those doors.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.
God Bless,
Cori G.
Ventura is a fun place to walk because there are so many cool houses and buildings.
Now I will have that tune in my head all day! I’ll hum it on the way to work.
Speaking of work, work, work, I tutor every day this week until 2pm!
I have a real love for old churches, so this photo really touched me. I also love the verse you put with it. It’s so important that we never forget to get together as God’s family to worship Him!
I also greatly enjoyed this picture. Along with the inspiring verse – may we always worship Him and remember His blessings.
Good morning, Ellen! I love that church door. That shade of blue is such a soothing blue too!
Enjoy your morning. 🙂
We have had a much cooler “fall-ish” weather here ever since Gustav and Ike. I am predicting a cold autumn and winter at my end. I am so glad you got to go back to WA in the last week of Nov. Does that mean you would get some Christmas decorating done?
How lovely! And what a beautiful day it is indeed when we go to the house of the Lord! Blessings to you!
I love the door knob. You don’t see many like that any longer.
Yeah! It’s Wednesday! Church night…. \o/
What a sweet little church. The song with the words to your verse is now in my head.
I just love these psalms! It just brings so much joy to my heart when I read about praising the Lord. And, what a great church picture.
Lovely pictures and beautiful Scripture to go along with it! Happy WFW and thanks for sharing!

doors are always interesting.. i think they say a lot about the house! Happy WFW
A nice shot. Don’t we all need encouragement to worship and go to church regularly! :~D

What a neat church building. I also posted a church photo today, though it’s not our church (though maybe I wish it was). 🙂
