We All Can Do Good
Words by Fanny Crosby
Our lives, we are told, are but fleeting at best,
Like roses they fade and decay;
Then let us do good while the present is ours,
Be useful as long as we stay.
Refrain
Do good unto others, do good while we can,
Our moments how quickly they fly;
Remember the proverb, remember it now,
We all can do good if we try.
A look or a smile, that in kindness we give,
May comfort a desolate heart;
May sweeten a life that is lonely and sad,
And hope to the weary impart.
Refrain
How many around us are strangers to God,
How many poor children we see;
If such we could bring to the foot of the cross,
How grateful and glad we should be.
Refrain
We all can do good, and we all can bestow
Some gift for the sake of the Lord;
If only a cup of cold water we give,
Our souls will not lose their reward.
Refrain
Beautiful!!!
And I really enjoyed ‘walking’ with you in all the glory of PINK below in the next blog entry.
Happy Sunday.
Good morning Ellen B.,
Wonderful lyrics to wake up to. It really can be as simple as a smile from one stranger to another.
I love Fanny Crosbys hymns. The rose is gorgeous! I love how the light is reflecting through the ruffly edged petals.
Any fun plans for today? Hubby and I are off to church then back out there looking for a car. I had wanted to go see the Tall Ships in Dana Point, but not sure if we’ll make it. It would make a great blog post!
Whatever you do today I pray that it’s blessed by our loving Savior.

So true, so true! Great hymn.
Yes, we can! (all do good)
Love the pink rose. Did you take it?
Jody
Hi Jody, God made it and I took a photo of it! :0)
Whoa, Nelly! That’s gorgemous!
Never heard this one either… so, will have to learn it this week. I really enjoyed the hymn last week. I haven’t gotten down all the words… so, I will still be working on that hymn too this week. I never was good at memorizing words.
Blessings!
Lovely words, not a hymn I am familiar with, but how true the teaching.
Lovely photo of the camellia also. Lost a few this year in the drought.
Need to go pruning as some are shooting a little from the bottom sections.
