A Song in October
Clouds gather, treetops toss and sway;
But pour us wine, an old one!
That we may turn this dreary day
To golden, yes, to golden!
Autumn has come, but never fear,
Wait but a little while yet,
Spring will be here, the skies will clear,
And the fields stand deep in violets.
The heavenly blue of fresh new days
Oh, friend, you must employ them
Before they pass away. Be brave!
Enjoy them; oh, enjoy them!
~ Theodor Storm, A Song in October
October’s the month when the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower of Autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down
October is red and golden and brown.

I enjoyed that. This time of year brings out the whimsy in us all, I guess.
Southern Bell, I love the word whimsy! Blessings…
well yesterday we had a 100mm of rain. I can’t say that I was loving October yesterday but your pumpkin patch picture makes me smile and know that sunny windy days are around the corner.
Lovella, May it be… blessings…
Don’t let Bridget see that mug… she’ll just have to have it! 🙂

Angie, I’m working hard to take a few pounds off so I can enjoy all those pies, etc. Blessings…
Today I had a pumpkin spice frappachino. Your pumpkin photo planted the thought in my brain. I had to have it.
Kathy, I’m glad you were able to reinforce that wonderful thought! Rich blessings on you….
