Espresso Mini ~ You’re Not In Seattle Anymore

It’s time for Show and Tell Friday and I’d like to take you on a trip to England.

Being from Seattle you are bombarded by Espresso Stands everywhere. These stands exist and survive even though we also have a Starbucks, or Tullys, or Seattle Best Coffee, or other coffee companies on every other corner. We love our strong coffee in Seattle. Costco in the Seattle area even has coffee roasting in some of their warehouses with their own label . Coffee beans sold fresh from the roaster. We are serious about our coffee.

I was so excited to see this cute little espresso car just outside the village of Bakewell when we were in England. I’ve never seen a cute little espresso van in Seattle! Even though I don’t drink coffee past nine in the morning, I had to support this venture in England. I bet there’s someone in Seattle that could really make a go of it with a vehicle like this…

F.Y.I. ~ Bakewell is suppose to be the village of Lambton in Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. This is where Lizzy stays at the Inn close to Pemberley (Chatsworth House) and runs into Darcy. This site has more actual places from the novel. Since we’re in Great Britain, here are a few more sites for you to enjoy…Cotswolds, Oxford, Wales, Oban, Lake District, London, York.

For more fun with show and tell head on over to There’s No Place Like Home…

Photobucket blacked out all my photos and is holding all my photos hostage as of July 2017.

  1. Lovely photos. I have wanted to visit Great Britain, alas, only my husband (as a teen) and my son have traveled there thus far.

As to coffee, it is serious every place. While hiking through the “Forbidden City” in China… think ages old buildings and tradition… what should we happen upon as we turned the corner but a Starbucks, spang in the middle of the compound. Really surprised me!

    Blessings, Kim

  2. Coffee, coffee, everywhere; and I’m so glad!

The English pictures are wonderful–I’d love to go. I only got as far as Heathrow Airport, alas.

Now, to go have my coffee!

  3. Wow. I’m blown away. Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing. Even though I don’t drink coffee (it’s sweet tea here in the south) I do think that’s about the cutest little truck I’ve ever seen.

  4. That is an adorable espresso van! Definitely would makie it big in WA. I could see one of those at a Mariners or Seahawks game!

    Lovely, GB pics! 😉

  5. I LOVED this post, England has always been one place I’ve wanted to visit, it’s beautiful isn’t it??

I would have been thrilled with the Espresso Van, probably would have sat there all day long LOL

  6. What a neat little van and business! And that would be so cool to visit some of the places in I love the picture with — is it wisteria or lilacs? — around the door.

  7. Oh how fun, I’d love to have an espresso van drive past our farm. We get the ice cream van, but oh coffee would be grand. We do love our coffee in the Pacific Northwest don’t we? I generally order an Americano. Stong but not bitter.

Thanks for the quick trip to England.

  8. How fun! I think you are right. These would go over well in the States, even here in Indiana where there is a Starbucks for every corner! Thanks for visiting me today.

  9. Wow, Ellen, I love the little coffee truck, I agree with Lana, it definitely could find itself at a ball game, perhaps at Spring Training! And I would love to go back to London, I was only there 2 days on my way home from Germany, but I absolutely loved it!

  10. Well isn’t that something! Here in my part of Northern Ontario we don’t see any coffee stands at all on the streets…hot dog stands are about the only thing! lol Your pictures of various parts of England are just fabulous! Have a wonderful weekend! xox

  11. What a fabulous post!!! You have shared my favorite places in all the world! I have been to many of the places you shared in my 4 or so visits to GB. My favorite book is P&P by Jane Austen so you must know i loved this post!!!

    Thank you!

  12. I love that little espresso cart. MMMNN! Looks good to me. I love cappuccinos.
The photos from England were cool to see.
Also that is cool that the photo on your blog is where Pride and Prejudice was filmed. Very cool.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please feel free to come by anytime.

  13. That little espresso van is too cute! I believe we would like one of those in Tennessee. We are just beginning to get Starbucks, and they are definitely doing BIB business!

England–I would love to see that country. I have only seen the inside of both London airports on layovers to other places. I would dearly love to go there as a destination sometime.

  14. Hello ladies,
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I enjoyed reading each and every one! I also enjoyed visiting your blogs today. Looking forward to next Friday, blessings!
