Camarillo ~ Local Hike ~ Santa Monica Mts.

Dear and I are going on an 8 mile hike in the Santa Monica mountains today. We are hiking with fellow employees from Amgen’s Transition Group. Lord willing, if we come back alive, (rattlesnakes and mountain lions, oh my!) I will post photos from our adventure tonight. The hike we are doing is from Sycamore to the Sea…

The Transitions Club does a great job and treats new employees well.

Lunch provided at the end of the hike at the Pacific Ocean.

A bus ride back to our cars. I’m glad we didn’t have to hike back!!

  1. Breathtaking photos. What a beautiful slice of God’s creation.

Pistol, God has created beauty for us. Blessings on you..

  2. OH!
Spectacular photos! God’s creation is so filled with arresting beauty. It stops us in our tracks and compels us to think of the One Who created it all!

Kim, may He always compel us to think on Him…

  3. What is this? Enthusiastic talk about hikes that go high in the sky? Apparently there is a God. Will your dear husband be taking the hiking poles from the Lake District on your hike today? Wish we were there. Wish you were here. You know. Love and miss you. We’ll just be doing the very flat Sammamish Trail today, thinking of you.

Jody, Yes can you imagine. We weren’t as high as Boney Mountain but we did have our hiking poles from the Lake District that we shared. Love and miss you too!

  4. Bravest sister o’mine – rattlesnake soup? Just kidding! Have fun! Can’t wait for the pics.

Lana, Hiking with over a 100 people cut down on the brave factor. Pictures posted…

  5. Oh wow, what fantastic photos! Enjoy your hike and get us a picture of a mountain lion! (from a safe place of course!!)
    Blessings.

Sarah, I’m happy to report I didn’t have to use my Lake District walking stick to fend off any mountain lions! Sorry no picture today…:) Blessings on you.

I read all comments and appreciate them.
