Mowing Season

Mowing season is upon us. I’m so thankful for our riding lawn mower. We finally were able to start the burn pile today.

Addy had a good view from the inside.

We were outside to see our water feature before Addy had to go home for her nap. After Addy left with her auntie Laura, Dear and I tended to the burn pile and did a lot of weeding.

My sister Vera was here for the weekend and she was a hit with Addy. Addy couldn’t say Vera and calls her Sarah. Too cute.

We managed a selfie at Douglas Falls with Vera and enjoyed some meals out on our drives to and from Spokane.

At Home

JJ came home from the hospital on Wednesday April 17th.

Great Uncle and Auntie got to see JJ for the first time and hold him on Thursday.

Uncle Andrew arrived and got some cuddles, too.

Addy had lots of memory building time with her aunts and uncles.

The sweetest!

Many hours of good family time during JJ’s first week of life outside the womb.

More news to share as the week progresses. We had a good weekend with my sister Vera visiting us from Southern California. Busy, busy times at our Country Bungalow and beyond.

Meeting Little Brother

24 hours after JJ was born he and his mommy were released from the hospital. When we arrived at the hospital, Addy was happy to see her Granny and Granny Great in the waiting room. Addy’s Granny works next door at the clinic. We went upstairs to the OB ward and waited outside the doors. It was a sweet reunion for Addy and her mommy, then she got a peek at her new brother for the first time.

Addy wanted to help her daddy with JJ’s carseat.

Another milestone in the books.

Today the weather has changed with some clouds and precipitation. Hope we get a sunny day while my sister is her this weekend. A busy weekend ahead for us. What’s in store for you this last weekend of April?

The First Hunt!

Tuesdays With Moisi will continue next week, Lord willing.

Today I’m starting with Easter and then I’ll go back to last Tuesday when our new grandson was born. After a glorious Easter Service we went home to grill some lamb and make some scalloped potatoes to take to our kids house for an Easter meal. Our DIL’s mother and granny added a salad, deviled eggs and dessert for our meal. It was casual working around a newborn’s eating schedule and Addy’s nap.

Once Addy was fully awake she hunted eggs and easter treats to put in her basket. Warning: Photo overload.

We first had an inside hunt.

Then we went outside for a hunt since the weather was fabulous.

Patiently waiting for all the adults to come outside to watch.

Jaymison was oblivious to all the fun.

Easter Snapshots

Just two photos this evening. Getting ready for an Easter egg hunt. We had a full and glorious Easter Day. It was a full week for us and for one of my brother’s sons who had their first baby two days after JJ was born. Second cousins a few states apart. My brother’s first grandson, too. He already has two sweet granddaughters. Lots of very tired mommies and daddies, baba’s and gramps’. Goodnight for now with this finale in the sky on Easter day!

The Presents

She wanted to put on these camo shoes as soon as she pulled them out of the bag.

It was fun to witness her delight when she pulled out the gifts.

And that’s a wrap! I’m out of here.

High fives!

There were presents for BBB (Baby Boy Bayles) to open, too. He’ll make his appearance soon and we’re looking forward to holding him and to hear what name is picked for him.

Another fun thing our Daughter in law planned for the party was handing out bubble wrap for people to pop!

The baby and baby stroller were a huge hit!

We traveled and arrived safely to the western side of the Cascade Mountain Range. Thank you to everyone who prayed for a safe journey. We have some catch up time planned with friends and family. Hope all is well with all of you and hope the last weekend of March is like a lamb instead of a lion!

So Much Love

My second post from Addy’s Bubble Birthday Party sharing all the love this little one is blessed with.

Psalm 86:15 (ESV)~

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

John 13:34 (ESV)~

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

1 Peter 4:8 (ESV)~

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

Happy Day to all of you! I will be slow in getting around as we are traveling to spend time on the “Coast” with our Western Washington kids and friends.
