Last Week of May Happenings

At the very end of May on a day without rain, the first camping trip as a family happened for this crew.

Addy had the big catch of the trip hooking a Prize Fish that was registered with Fish and Wildlife. They are working on what she’ll get for her prize.

She now has more fish tales to tell. Both Grands want to go camping again.

I’ve been on the lookout for a nice chess set. Stopping in at a local estate sale I found this Renaissance set from the 50’s in great shape. It was $25 which I thought a decent price.

With all the rain we’ve had lately it seemed a good time to start another puzzle. This puzzle was purchased at a thrift store and I wanted to see if there are any missing pieces. I’ll soon find out!

And as of last night just a few more sections to go.

More May blooms that are thriving.

June blooms coming soon. Looking forward to all that June holds.

  1. Congratulations to Addy on her big catch! That’s so neat. I love it that they go camping as a family and enjoy it so much.

The chess set you found at an estate sale is beautiful, Ellen! And what a great price!

    Flowers are beautiful as always.

  2. I love the chess set. My oldest grands like to play and I’m re-learning : ) We’ve had a wet and cool spring and are ready for real summer weather. That fish is great!!

  3. Hello,

Hubby and I used to love camping, but then I started needing a real bed to sleep in.

Cute photos of the family and the flowers are lovely.

    Take care, enjoy your day!

  4. I love the flower collage. Congratulations to Addy on catching that big one. Looks like a fun puzzle. Hope all the pieces were there.

  5. Camping season! I hope they manage to do a lot of it. Do you ever go camping with the younger family members? I’ve only done that a couple of times since there were three generations of us, and the last time was about 20 years ago, though my late husband and I went more recently. I remember fondly the time my in-laws went with our foursome when they were in their 60’s, and that was their last camping trip. Now I’m afraid my camping days are over.

I am amazed at the size of that fish!! And your flowers are splendid. June is so lovely ❤

  6. I sent a post and it said it wouldn’t go through.

How nice that they had a camping trip. Way to go Addy on the fish.

I like your chest set and the flowers are very pretty.

I read all comments and appreciate them.
