Wrapping Last Week Up

At soccer camp last week we had intermittent showers and winds and a beautiful rainbow!

It was a very full week with soccer camp in the evening and golf camp in the morning, not to mention Irish Dance practice, too!

Our road is being asphalted from highway 395 all the way to highway 25. That’s about 20 miles worth. There are times where we have to wait at our driveway for a pilot car to let us out. We have to plan our trips wisely and also leave plenty of time in advance if we have an appointment. The road is looking real nice and it will be great when it is all done.

We have been enjoying my brother and his son being with us since Saturday afternoon. I will have lots of posts to share soon.

I’ll leave you with some flowers that are blooming in our planters right now.

Enjoy the final days of July!

  1. The kiddos had a full day! They are so adorable, Ellen.

It’s always time consuming when a road near us is being paved, but the end results are so worth the wait.

    Your flowers are beautiful!

  2. That rainbow! And your flowers are lovely as always. We’ve just experienced the road paving at the entrance to our neighborhood as well. The new road is soooo nice, but it was super aggravating while it was happening. Have a great day!

  3. Wow! The Grands are staying busy this summer! That’s great that they are learning so many activities. The flowers are beautiful! I hope you have an amazing visit with your brother and nephew!

  4. Hi Ellen,

That rainbow is beautiful — perfect from end to end! Your grands are darling; they have grown so much!! You are blessed to have them and such a wonderful family. 🙂 I love your flowers; this has been a great year for gardens, I believe. I wrote about flowers this week, too.

Hope you have a wonderful week, Ellen!

  5. Your grands are certainly having an action packed time. I’m chortling about up your roadsurfacing. Ours is taking six weeks to do a stretch of under a mile. I’m wondering how long your twenty miles is taking. No doubt a lot less. Things move very slowly on this island lol! B x

  6. Wonderful pictures of your sweet little loves! And the rainbow and flowers are beautiful too. Summer is going by way too fast! Slow down and enjoy every moment.

  7. Wow, that was a busy week!!! The kids look so cute. I’m sure the road work is annoying but how nice it will be when it is done. Your flowers are beautiful.
