Three Cheers for the Red, White and Blue!

And…three cheers for our kids who share their photos with us! From Colville, Bothell and Lynnwood everyone had their version of celebrating Independence Day. God bless America.

My heart is heavy because of the tragedy from the Guadalupe River surge in Texas. I can’t imagine the pain and grief so many are going through. I’m sure many of you are feeling the same way. Prayers continue…

  1. I love the cute patriotic shirts the kids are wearing.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more perfectly toasted marshmallow!!

My heart is so heavy for the families. An 8 year old girl from our area died. Her father is a professor at the college I attend. I’ve never met them, but knowing they live here some how brings it even closer to home. The little girl was in the classroom of a young woman at church who teaches at her school.

  2. I love the tie-dye style patriotic shirts! The marshmallow looks perfect to me. I too am praying for the lost and the survivors too. A nightmare that’s hard to fathom. May Jesus be very near those who have lost so much.

  3. Love all your red white and blue!! Hope you had a nice weekend and here’s to a good start to a new week. I am joining you in much prayer for Texas.

  4. I’m right there with you when it comes to Texas. Reading the ever increasing numbers of deaths and then seeing how many of those were children makes one want to draw their young people close and tell them how much they are loved.

  5. It looks like they all had a great celebration! That marshmallow is perfection. I’m heartbroken about the floods in Texas and the loss of life. I can only imagine what the families are going through. Oh Lord, bring comfort like only you can.

  6. Roasted marshmallows! Yummy. Haven’t had any for a very long time.

So very sad about the floods in Texas!!

  7. Each had their own creative perspective – you raised them well! The loss of children and adults in the Texas flood has brought immense heartbreak to our state. The families are in my prayers.

    • Mary, I love hearing about how fellow Texans are coming together to help in any way they can. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind comment.
