Last week I showed a photo of the leaning barn taken from our kids’ driveway. The photo above is another shot I took last Friday. The next photo was from 7 years ago.
From July, 2018.
I’m adding more photos with closeups and different sides of the barn that I took last Friday.

We’ve enjoyed seeing this barn through the years and are sad that it won’t be in the landscape for many years to come unless it just decides to stay leaning and not collapsing. Judging from the photos it doesn’t seem likely that it will last for too much longer.
How will you spend the last day of June?

Those photos are amazing. In the last two photos you can see the boards and how they have curved – wow!! I looks like it would topple if someone blew on it.
As far as the last day of June, I’ll be headed into the office around 8:30. I’m going to try to take Wednesday-Saturday off, but I will be back at work on Sunday.
…that poor barn refuses to die!
Wow, it is leaning and ready to fall. I hope no one is around when it does fall.
Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
This makes me sad, because I love old barns.
What I will be doing this last day of June is making preparations for jam making tomorrow! π
Yes, Sad! I remember when we had to take down my grandparents barn. It was dangerous to leave it standing. I cried for a week!…
Regarding that leaning barn, as picturesque as it is, I hope it collapses very soon, perhaps in the dark of night when there is less possibility of anyone being anywhere near it. It’s a death-trap to the careless or very young.
Then once it’s down, people can collect the boards and create a host of imaginative crafts and art work. My BIL gave me boards from his family’s old barn. I painted Poppies on it and hung it in my last house. That went along well with the ‘country’ style of decor I used to have.
Ethan Allan decorates the house I ‘inherited’ (so to speak) when I married Gary, so virtually all of my country decor got sold, donated, or otherwise disposed of.
Thatβs one wonky barn. Hopefully someone will help to restore it. It looks worth saving. B x
What a wonderful old barn! It certainly will be a sad day when it finally keels over. It was a very nice last day of June for us. It started off with us going over to our son’s place for an hour and then running a few errands. It was nice to read about yours. Happy Last Day of June!
Wow isn’t that amazing that the barn is still standing. One when you see it, it will be gone. You should take bets on when it will fall down. π
Thanks for showing the barn from more angles. I’m fascinated by it π
I went to a bridal shower today — an odd day for one, isn’t it, a Monday afternoon… But I guess it was a good day for everyone who was there!
An interesting photo sojourn of a vintage barn!
Poor little barn, cant anything be done to stop it falling?
Barbara, The barn hasn’t been in use for years and there are no signs of the owners taking any kind of care for it so I’m doubtful they’ll invest in saving it.
Wow, that is so interesting. The pictures are something else. Unbelievable!
