Hello June…

…and a look back at May blooms.

The Red Peonies are at full bloom and we are still waiting on the white and pink to open up.

My camera does not get the true color of this clematis.

A bumble bee was enjoying this columbine.

We are enjoying the variety of color on our property right now.

Our weekend was a bit of this and that, weeding, watering, and organizing some shelves in the Garage. On Saturday we had our cars washed by the teens from church who are raising money for camp. After church on Sunday we made an impromptu trip to Spokane for a meal and some shopping.

We’re welcoming June here with sunshine and warm temperatures.

  1. The color on those peonies is spectacular! I have one here that looked dead the first year. I convinced hubs to move it and then the next two summers it just kind of sat there barely alive. Hubs wanted to pull it up but I had hope and suddenly this year it’s growing, so maybe one of these summers I’ll finally have blooms. I don’t think they love our climate or soil one, as you don’t see a lot of them here. I love them though. Have a nice week!

  2. So many beautiful flowers in your garden, Ellen. I’m enjoying the peonies here just now, too, and waiting for a few more bushes to open. Happy June days ahead.

  3. Ellen, you definitely have a lot of beautiful color on your property right now. Everything is so beautiful that I would be hard pressed to make a choice for my favorite.

    Your weekend sounds lovely.

  4. I had a wonderful time looking through all your photos Ellen. What a beautiful garden you have. It’s lovely seeing everything coming into bloom again. Happy June!

  5. I think I accidentally deleted my last comment Ellen, hopefully this is not a repeat. I just wanted to say what a lovely time I had looking through all these gorgeous flowers. Your garden certainly is blooming beautifully, and I look forward to seeing more through the growing season.

  6. Ya done good, Ellen! Look at all the beautiful blooms God made — those peonies are irises look particularly happy and healthy. That looks like it might be ‘Crystal Fountain’ clem.
