Growing Up Before Our Eyes

This little guy has graduated to a big boy bed! He is a happy camper!

Both of these chefs made their own dinner this week, Alphabet Soup. Addy read the recipe. They loved the experience and ate two bowls of their creation!

They are growing up with good skills and we are thankful. Hats off to their mom and dad!

All of our Christmas decor is stored except for the tree and ornaments. I’ll tackle that soon!

  1. Impressive culinary endeavors with Alphabet Soup this week, showcasing growing skills; kudos to the parents, and now onto stowing away the Christmas decor, except for the tree and ornaments, a task for the near future!

  2. Love the quilt on JJ’s bed! The colors are so striking on the black background.

What a blessing it is when parents are actively involved in training their children with good life skills. And what a blessing it is when the children have teachable spirits, like your two grands.

  3. They do grow up fast. They sound like really sweet kids. I have put most of the decorations on the bed in the front of the house. I didn’t pack them up yet because I have to go through the boxes to get rid of things I’m not using anymore.. Big task and I’m sick so I can’t do it right now. Then I have to tackle the tree and ornaments. That’s a big task this year because I didn’t put up the middle size tree so I need to decide what ornaments to keep on the big tree and what ones I want to add to the big tree next year from the middle tree. I can’t do them all anymore. Sorry about getting on my soap box. Have a lovely weekend.

  4. Yes, kids sure grow up fast and grandkids grow up even faster. My oldest is 32 years old and the youngest is 18 next Wednesday. Sadly haven seen them in quite a long time. 😦

  5. They do grow up fast, don’t they? Little Warrior is now 14 and taller than I am!
What a blessing for you to be living so near to them.

PS: not sure why, but wordpress won’t let me post except with willowknits…

  6. Well done to them for making their own meal! Just this morning I was looking at my little boy thinking “When did he get so big?”

  7. That switch to a big bed is always momentous! A sad/happy event. =) And then you see how they are learning so many new skills and it is pure joy. I love how they are shopping your fridge for ingredients.
