Starting the Day…

Enjoy a cuppa of whatever you wish as we start our long Memorial Day Weekend here in the States.

Tea or Coffee?

What State or Country do you hail from?

What’s your favorite kind of muffin with your cuppa?

Maybe a scone is more desired. Plain or fruity?

Relax on a sofa or overstuffed chair inside or in a quiet spot with a relaxing view out of doors?

Thank you for dropping in. Have a good day and weekend.

  1. For me, coffee with about 3 drops of cream, a strawberry scone, a comfy chair in my air-conditioned living room. Maybe that will be part of my long weekend? Or maybe not because I am going to a burial service and keeping two young grands overnight and painting in the sunroom this weekend too!

    Happy weekend to you!

  2. Definitely a cup of tea! A scone would be my preference, and a comfy seat on the patio in lovely warm sunshine. There’s none of the latter here these days, so a chair has to do. Have a good weekend.

  3. Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon.
Any muffin or scone with maple flavoring would be my favorite.
I hail from the Pacific Northwest of the US although I spent a decade living in Indonesia (love me some Indonesian food!).
I recognize that chair–Serpentine in Hyde Park!

  4. Oooh, for me, hot tea with cream and sugar. And a blueberry muffin please! 🙂 I’m originally from San Diego but have lived in the Seattle area more than 30 years. And without a doubt: a relaxing spot with a view. Every time.

  5. Ellen – I would opt for coffee with a blueberry muffin in a quiet spot with a view. As you know, we hail from Montana these days, but my hubby claims his Brit roots and would probably opt for a fruity scone, complete with clotted cream and jam! Enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend! We are in Miami Airport at the moment, awaiting our next flight!
