April ended with a crockpot meal at Baba and Gramps’. We dug out our daughter’s University of Washington cheer outfit from the 80’s for Addy to try on and enjoy.
On the fourth of May we attended the Awana Awards night at church and Addy got her promotion from Cubbies to Sparks. In the Fall she will move on to the Sparks while her brother gets to start Cubbies. Here’s Addy helping to lead one of the Awana songs.
We are so thankful for the dozens of volunteers who make this program successful.
With the sunshine we are having at the beginning of May our dandelion crop has overtaken our grassy areas. The bees are happy. Maybe we should look into Dandelion Tea.
We are catching up with family and friends on the Westside of the mountains here in Washington State. A mix of good reports and hard reports. My computer time is scarce. The rain is plentiful. We’ve shopped at Business Costco filling up the rear of our vehicle leaving just enough room for our suitcases for our return trip. We’ve traveled roads we traveled for 20 years before we moved to the East side of the mountains. Things have changed and some things remain the same. We are still happy and content with our move.
This is Mother’s Day weekend in the USA and Canada. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms that visit here!
Happy Mother’s Day to you, too, Ellen! Safe travels!
The dandelions are pretty but that will definitely be a lot of work getting rid of them. Love Addy cheering. AWANA I such a wonderful program. So thankful that Addy and JJ are able to experience it.
Happy Mother’s Day Ellen! Addy is growing fast, she is adorable. The bees do love the dandelions and we need to keep the bees happy and healthy. Have a great weekend.
…our lawn is yellow too,Happy Mother’s Day.
The kids in our church have those same vests but the ministry is called Master Club.
Have a wonderful Mothers Day. I’m sure you will. : )
Happy Mother’s Day, Ellen! That little Cubby turned Spark is sure cute!
Congrats to Addy, and Happy Mother’s Day, Ellen!
Happy Mother’s Day! A wonderful event for your granddaughter–she is growing fast! Dandelions are persistent and are growing in popularity as a natural ground cover and more beneficial than grass for the environment so don’t dispair!
It is wonderful that Addy is learning the Words of Truth in Awana! Hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day and are enjoying your time on the west side!
How on earth is it possible that those babies are old enough for Awana Club! It seems like just yesterday when they were newborns (I know my great-grands have grown a lot in the same number of years, but somehow, yours surprised me ;>). Adorable pictures and I’m so glad you are there to witness their daily life!
Addy looks like a born leader! So wonderful to have volunteers invest in the lives of children.
