On Sunday night of our birthday weekend together our family walked down our kids driveway to catch the sunset after dinner.
Psalm 19:1-6
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
A wonderful finale for us as we began our farewells to our ‘Coast’ kids.
…the image of your two little ones looking at the sunset is the best!
Our Laura has a way of capturing great moments! I agree with you…
Stunning sunset! Great looking family.
God is good. He gives us daily gifts.
Gorgeous photos. What a blessing to have the family together.
Gorgeous! and what a lovely family.
Oh wow, your photos have recorded a breathtakingly glorious sunset! And the psalm you chose is always a favorite, perfectly matched to all that wonder of clouds and color and sun. A great way to mark the blessings of family and birthdays too.
How very beautiful. Nothing can ever equal the glories of God.
So lovely, Ellen. The words and photos!
Catching up after a busy week (although not as busy as yours, I’m certain!) . . .
I love this post . . . the glory of our God’s creation, the beautiful Words of life, the family togetherness! That was a great finale to your days spent together!
