Thank you to Jo for coming up with the questions for the weekly hodgpodge! Click over to From This Side of the Pond to join in.
This photo of JJ and Addy covered with leaves is from last Fall after the leaves fell.
1. It’s fall y’all. What’s something you love about this season and also something you don’t?
Fall clothing is something I enjoy. I really can’t come up with something I don’t like about Fall. Fall might be my favorite season of all.
2. When you think of the colors of fall, which one is your favorite?
Hmmm…I think I like the combination rust, gold, olive green, maroon, and brown. If I had to pick one I’d pick olive green.
Is there somewhere you could easily day trip to see the leaves in all their glory?
There are lots of great drives in our area where we can enjoy fall colors.
Will you? Yes, we will.
3. What’s one thing you’ve let ‘fall’ by the wayside during this season of staying home and staying away?
We aren’t taking as many roadtrips as we have in the past.
4. If you’re wearing a sweater is it most likely a cardigan, crew neck, v-neck, or zip up hoodie?
Most likely a cardigan.
5. What’s your secret to dealing with change?
It’s not a secret but sometimes we forget that God is sovereign, that He is in control. Reminding myself that I am not in control takes the pressure off when change happens.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Each Thursday until we have gone through the alphabet I’m hosting Truth from A to Z Bible Verse Challenge. Tomorrow we are on the letter C. If you’d like to join in you can add a verse in the comments on my post tomorrow or let me know that you posted a verse on your own blog. I’ll add a link to your post or add your verse from the comment section onto the Thursday challenge post. The word/words that start with C can be anywhere in the verse. It can be a key word or not. Not a lot of rules just an exercise that encourages you to search the treasure we have in the Bible.

Happy Fall! Since Covid started Hubby and I are not taking as many road trips. I hope to go somewhere soon. Love the cute photo of your grandkids. Take care, enjoy your day!
Eileen, I find road trips to be such a pleasant way to spend a day or two or three. 🙂
…we don’t have that many fallen leaves yet!
Tom, that photo is from last year and later into the Fall season. Our leaves are still hanging on here right now.
What a couple of cuties up to their necks in leaves. That’s one of the thrills of changing seasons—to see the little ones experience it. Hope that you have many nice drives scouting for foliage. 🍂🍁🍂
I like to answer to #5 especially. Enjoy fall. It’s so short.
I love the beautiful photos you posted. The one with the kids is adorable and such a perfect fall photo. I hope you enjoy the season. Happy fall 🙂
I will plan to join again on Thursday. I’ve been thinking which word to use.
I had a similar answer to #5, that is what I am continuing to learn as I get older.
God bless your day!
I’m soaking up fall with you!! I love color too, with my favorites being shades of red, from burgundy to rusty red. Yes to fall clothes . . . yes to cardigans . . . absolutely yes to God’s sovereignty!!
Those babes in the leaves looks like something right out of a Hallmark movie! Good to take a deep breath and remember who is Really in Control
Beautiful photos, Ellen! The ones on my own Hodgepodge post are from previous years also.
Loved your answer to #5 — mine is similar, as you know.
Your A to Z Scripture challenge sounds wonderful. If I remember I will get over there tomorrow with a “C” word. Lots of those!
How did I miss that you are hosting that Bible verse challenge? (oh yeah, I’m in survival mode over here). I’d love to join in tomorrow!
Yes, God is sovereign and we often forget that, much to our misery and lack of peace.
Cute photo of the grands!
I must say a big AMEN to your answer to #5. We don’t hear much about the sovereignty of God, and what a shame, as that is the only basis for hope and assurance. I will try to join you tomorrow.
Always a pleasure stopping by…That Fall photo with your Grands is unique and amazing! Love your answers too. Hugs!
Happy Fall Ellen. I always enjoy the photo of your grandchildren, and this one is incredibly adorable.
Oh my! that photo of the grands is priceless! Seems we both deem fall as our favorite season! It is so nice that you have beautiful places to visit during this beautiful and colorful season.
Thank you for your sweet comment, it has been one busy summer at our place.
When looking at Fall leaf photos I do like when there is a rainbow of colors. I like a cardigan also. Enjoy the rest of the weeks.
What a beautiful photo! You’re right, the green is gorgeous!
Little ones and a pile of leaves – such a great photo opportunity.
