Wonderful Words of Life ~ Hymn

Today is Sunday and the day I post a hymn. Today’s hymn will have our August 23rd prompt in the lyrics, words.

Wonderful Words of Life

Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life,
Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life;
Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty.

Refrain

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life,
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life.

Christ, the blessèd One, gives to all wonderful words of life;
Sinner, list to the loving call, wonderful words of life;
All so freely given, wooing us to Heaven.

Refrain

Sweetly echo the Gospel call, wonderful words of life;
Offer pardon and peace to all, wonderful words of life;
Jesus, only Savior, sanctify us forever.

Refrain

Words: Philip P. Bliss, 1874.

If you have a verse with our word of the day please share it in the comments and I’ll add it here.

From my sister Vera:

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NASB‬‬

From Maristella:

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
1 John 3:18 | NIV

“Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 | NIV

From Happy One:

Proverbs 16:24 KJV

Pleasant WORDS are as honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Great verses you all shared, thank you so much!

My Monday post will be late because I’ve been busy with our guests. I should have it up later than usual on Monday.
