Happy First Day of Winter! Four more days till Christmas! Get your jolly on!
On Wednesday into Thursday we had a good little snowfall. Here’s Dear taking out the trash. It’s good to have knee high muck boots!
On Friday the weather warmed up and now all the beautiful white snow is turning into muddy slush. A Pineapple Express is pushing through our area. We’ve gone from below freezing temps to upwards of almost fifty degrees! I have my car back repaired and looking brand new again. It will soon be covered in mud from the slushy roads.
What a treat to compose a blog post listening to some of our favorite Christmas music. Love this song from the Carpenters album (1977).
…we still have snow, but the spush is on its way.
The trees look so pretty with the snow.
A warm up coming will turn our snow into a muddy slush too!
Such a beautiful song, the tempo is so relaxing as she sings about the newborn King! Your snow pictures are SO pretty!
I love seeing the beautiful white snow, Ellen. If only the prettiness would last and not turn to a muddy mess. It’s been cold here, but the 50s are coming our way as well. The first day of winter lived up to its name for you and for us. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
You sound well prepared for your Winter weather. The snow looks pretty when it’s fresh and white. May your Christmas be a special one as we celebrate our Saviour’s birth.
It looks so pretty! (Pretty, but short-lived is my favorite kind of snow!) Glad you have your car back!
I like that you have a Carpenters Christmas Record! I’d love to hear all of the songs!
Huh, I have that album too 😬
I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to move TO where there’s snow for my retirement!
I love that song from the Carpenters. I have that cd and must go looking for it.
