Summer Visitors

This buck that has visited our back yard has an antler out of whack.

I wonder if his deer friends notice?

We have other summer visitors on a smaller scale, too.

Baby quail are getting bigger every day.

There are also lots of baby turkeys in the area that cause some road hazards.

We will enjoy some human summer visitors, too, soon. Are you expecting any visitors or have you already had summer visitors? If you are or have I hope they were or are of the encouraging types.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Wonder about the deer?? The quail and turkeys are cute. I did have the first visitor to our new home; my good friend from college. It was wonderful to catch up and remember old, simple times.

  2. I wonder what happened to it’s antler? He looks healthy anyway — and how fun to see the quail familiy. I feel like we are the visitors here in Oregon as we catch up with everybody now that we’re home. And it’s good to be here.

  3. Hello, great visitors. I wonder what happened to the deer’s antler. The baby quail are so cute, adorable family.
Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week!

  4. Bless that little deer! I love seeing all your summer visitors! We had a mama goat and three babies in our front yard this morning!
We are at the ranch for a few weeks!

  5. Wonder what caused his antlers to go like that!
Hoping our son David will be coming for a visit this summer.

  6. Aw – you’ve had some unique summer visitors for sure! We just, this morning, said our goodbyes to some dear (not deer) friends from Kentucky. They come every summer for a week of theatre at the Stratford Festival and we see them as often as we can while they are here. It’s been 35 years since we first met them. Hope you enjoy your human summer visitors too. Have a great week Ellen!

  7. You have some great visitors at your place. What fun to watch the quail family grow up!

I had a lovely visitor this morning. A newish friend from our church came over for coffee and we had a an encouraging chat together!
