Birthday Month

In less then two weeks our little grandgirlie turns 1 year old! She loves her veggies and whole grain noodles.

Growing up is tiring.

It’s time to make the trip over the mountains to see all her new skills in person.

My answers to my random questions from yesterday…

1. God has decided to send you on a Mission trip, where are you going and why?

Russia because that’s where both my parents were born which makes me 100% Russian. I understand a little Russian and can speak some…not much intelligently. Everyone including Russians need Jesus as their Savior.

2. You have a free afternoon to read uninterrupted. Where would you choose to read?

I would choose to read in a comfy corner by a fireplace with a window view close by.

3. If you were stuck in an elevator for over an hour what music would you want playing while you were stuck?

I think I’d want the comfort of some good Worship music playing.

4. You have to travel from the west coast to the east coast of your country, what 5 cities would you want to spend time in?

I’ll take the northern tier of our states and choose:

Missoula, Montana
Grand Marais, Minnesota
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Newport, Rhode Island
Rockport, Maine

  1. Your granddaughter is soo sweet. Especially the one where she fell asleep!
Russia would be my second option too, for going on a missions trip. I would really be interested to see where our anscetors came from and how they lived.

  2. That year sure went fast. Hard to believe that she will be one already.
My daughter Debbi’s birthday is the last day of the month. It’s been many years since she turned one. (she will be 44))

  3. Awww I love that photo of Addy sleeping, all tuckered out after fun and adventures!
Great answers to your questions! I am looking forward to a visit to Newport RI in July! DV!

  4. I see a bit of both of her parents in Addy. Sweet munchkin! I always like your ‘random answers’. So now you have me wondering…if both my parents were born in Russia, does that make me Russian?

  5. It is so hard to believe that Addy is soon to be a year old already! She has been such a joy to watch grow. I enjoyed reading your answers to the questions…and the picture of the pancakes make my mouth water. 🙂 Have a wonderful time when you go to visit Addy!

  6. Ellen, wow has Abby grown and changed! I really notice the last few posts! Our niece lives near Missoula Montana, in Arlee. Rockport Maine is nice, I’ve traveled through and saw the rocky coast landscape. This is a wonderful post!💜😎

  7. Doesn’t that first year speed by?! Addy is growing like a weed. Like Judy, I can see both of her parents in her sweet little face. Happy birthday month, Addy!

  8. Enjoyed your answers. Hard to believe that it is almost a year since Addy was born. I’m glad she is liking her healthy food!

  9. Happy Birthday to Addy! I laughed out loud at the picture of her falling asleep in her high chair. Reminds me of my Dad when he got older and would nap at the dinner table, much to my Mom’s chagrin! I am sure you are looking forward to your trip to see her in person!

  10. Hi Ellen! You wouldn’t come to Denver? Sad! Just kidding (sort of!). Oh, that baby girl is something else! I bet you can’t wait to hug and smooch her!

  11. I hope you get to celebrate Addy’s first birthday with her! She is adorable. Both my grandparents were Eastern European but I was surprised when my DNA report came back and I only had 15% Eastern European DNA. I had an equal amount of French and German, some Scandinavian and mostly English and Irish.
