I’m going outside the box this week with the Barn I’m posting for Barn Collective. Our nephew got married under a pole barn in Nuevo, California and it was a wonderful rustic setting that they made cozy using lots of hay, burlap, lights and candles. There are two pole barns side by side and one was used for the ceremony and the other was used for the reception and dancing.
One of my nieces before the wedding begins.
My nephew (the groom) built all the benches with help from my brothers and his friends.
Two of our kids with their cousins.
The groom, our nephew Levi with my brother Steve (Levi’s father) in the background. Steve is a pastor and he performed the wedding ceremony.
The bride and groom.
The flower girls and ring bearer. The flower girls dropped bird feathers along the burlap runner.
My parents with all but 5 of their grandchildren along with 2 great grandchildren.

How wonderful! I love the rustic and simplicity..
Now I have seen everything. I know Amish folks who will have church services and weddings in theor barns, but this was so lovely. Tom The Backroads Traveller
Looks like a beautiful wedding–very nice setting!
Oh Wow, how beautiful this must have been Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful wedding pics.
What a great setting for a wedding! Nice pole barn too, but I especially like all the hay bales used for the wedding set-up. Nice choice.
Well, that was great fun! Thanks for inviting us along.
What a beautiful wedding! The setting was unique, creative, and so personal.
Oops…that was not Kati. It is Cheryl on Kati’s computer. 😉
That is just so beautiful. I love how every couple brings their own personality and creativity to their special day.
How fun! Everything is so fresh and pretty! My husband married three of our kids and he cried every time. Our daughter had a dear friend conduct the service because she couldn’t stand to see her daddy cry. What a great wedding your family enjoyed!
Beautiful! This would have been my daughter’s dream wedding. We used some of these ideas but all the rules and regulations in our area didn’t allow a barn wedding!
I think they did a fabulous job of being who they are and doing something so unique!
Hey, this is a great barn post! These wedding are very popular here too. I have yet to be invited to one, though. Thanks for sharing this week!
This is just naturally beautiful without having to include all of the “slick” trappings. I love it, Ellen!!! Congratulations to the entire clan!!!
