Joy, Joy, Joy…

Xmas decor 016I love this joyful time of year.

“Joy to the world! The Lord is come
Let earth receive her King!
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing”

Xmas decor 002The tree is decorated and we are all ready for our first Christmas party tonight.

My toe is better and I’ve been able to do whatever needs to be done except for aerobic exercising with the Seniors.

The next 10 days are filled with a variety of celebrations for Dear and me. I am no where near being done with Christmas shopping. I probably won’t really get going with that until December 15th.

How’s it coming together at your home?

  1. I am working on my mantel tonight…tree up tomorrow….party tomorrow night and I need new, dressy, short boots so am going shopping in the morning. Just made Sausage Balls for Mr. Sweet to take to a little Morning party where he works out….whew…I keep reminding myself to breath. 🙂
    Your tree is lovely…..

  2. Joy, joy, joy indeed!!! We still haven’t gotten our tree because it’s been wet and raining and VERY cold… 😦 I am hoping maybe this weekend. I have been decorating here and there inside, and working on crafts with Miss Baby.

I love that vertical woodland-looking garland — is that new? I don’t remember seeing it in your past Christmas pictures…

    • Wendy, I’ve had that for several years with a nail that stays there all year long waiting to hang it again. I probably just never took a photo from that angle before to capture it. Enjoy crafts with Miss Baby!!

  3. It is no surprise to me that your surprise tree turned out looking like an A-1 winner!!! I like the touches I see throughout the room, too!

I hope your party was a grand success and that you had a good time without too much pain in the toe. Have a wonderful weekend, and go, go, go with the shopping!

  4. Slowly…

The tree is another beauty! Everything looks wonderfully festive and celebratory at your place. Glad that your toe is feeling better.
