We will give thanks for all the wonderful things we’re given and we enjoy.
It’s no secret around my blog that we enjoy food. Food from our own kitchen and food from other kitchens is appreciated and enjoyed. I thank God today that we have the resources to make good things in our kitchen and that we can afford eating out at nice restaurants. While in Chewelah we re-visited The Chalet Restaurant for breakfast. I’m sure this will be a spot we frequent when we visit our son.
I’m also thankful for a free weekend. We don’t have any engagements this weekend and we are happy to just be able to putz around the house.
What are you thankful for today?
What a nice post. 🙂
I am thankful for family this weekend!

I’m glad you guys are getting a little break in the action to revive, renew, refresh, and just chill out. We all need that on occasion. I’ve been sitting here dreading going down to the kitchen to fix myself a little breakfast (hubby got his before leaving early this morning, but that was WAY too early for me!), but looking at that food gives me a little kick. I think I’ll do an omelet and some hash browns now! I’m thankful for all the people in my life who make it worth getting up in the morning, thankful for the talents and skills God has blessed me with, and thankful for all my senses so that I can enjoy this life I’ve been gifted. Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
It was my birthday last week, and I am so grateful for all the family and friends who wrote or telephoned. Though I live far away from many of the people I love most, it was a great feeling to know I wasn’t forgotten. Today my daughter is coming for lunch, and I am grateful that we are such good friends, as well as parent and child. And my lovely granddaughter who lives in New Mexico, which sometimes seems so far away. But she’ll be home for Thanksgiving, so it won’t be long now. Take care and God bless, have a great weekend. Carol
It’s pizza night… =)
I am thankful for family and friends….no matter where you are, we are just a click away.
I loved your last post…wow, those photos that you took are so book worthy. That must of been so much fun. It,s fun to learn from each other and share these moments. Oceanside does have a fantastic eye for beauty and so do you.
Yes, I agree that we are so thankful to be able to putz at will!! Unlike those recovering from the great storm or those trying to stay alive in Syria these days! Wow – all I have to complain about is the cold dreary weather!!! I am definitely enjoying being at home today and doing my “Saturday Work” as my mother used to call it :).
I am thankful for this weekend as well…with nothing to do but putz around! And putzing in the sunshine is all good. Pizza night here as well, Vee:)
Isn’t it nice to just be able to putz around every now and then. The food is mouth watering!..Christine
Given how challenging it is for people affected by hurricane Sandy, I was very thankful for the ease with which I can shop for groceries. Shelves are full and full of choices.
Thankful here for a quiet few hours to myself to just read, relax, rejoice and refresh!
I too was thankful for a few days after being down with the flu to just be home and rest and refresh for the upcoming week.
Oh, ellen, that pancake looks so good!
Glad you had a relaxing weekend. 🙂
