I wonder when the next time that will happen!?
…I need to back track to document what a fun Sunday night we had in downtown Seattle at the Sounders Soccer game against our Cascadia rivals the Portland Timbers.

We always start with our local military representatives holding the flag while we sing The Star Spangled Banner. This night there were over 50,000 voices strong singing. That is really cool. Total attendance for the night was 66, 452.

…and the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air!

Our Emerald City Supporters went all out with a banner depicting the Sounders coach Sigi Schmid going all in.

An all time favorite player on our Sounders team retired earlier this year and he was honored this night with the golden scarf. He really is beloved by the fans and the stadium went electric when he was honored!

As the sun set in the West the sun set on Portland, too. We sent them back to Portland defeated 3-0.
So I’m still going around and around on my theme and I’m not finished yet. Double Oye!
11/12/13?
You’re the first to point out the significance of the day! Now I’ll try to enjoy it even more.
Looks like a very fun game last night. I’ve never been to a big stadium like this to watch a game, though my son loves going to New York for games so I have a few of his photos about. These are wonderful pictures!
I love those date numbers!!! My husband and I have been doing fun and memorable things on these special number days over the past years – it’s fun. We are still trying to deside what to do on 12-12-12!!
The game looks like a blast. BTW – love your new “wall paper”!
I love that…10/11/12. Let’s make it a memorble day! Your Sounders game sounds like a lot of fun (all the more since the right team won!).
What great pictures, Ellen. I could feel the excitement as I read your words and looked at your pictures. laurie
I noticed that this morning as I was writing out a check! No plans other than watching the VP debate tonight…
The fireworks pics are great! Glad your team won!!
