Are We There Yet?

Yep…I’m ready to arrive in Spring already. How many miles do we need to go to get to Spring, Washington?  Some of you will think of me as a whiner because you put up with way harsher winters than me. I did enjoy the change of landscape and the photo opportunities. I do not drive in the snow in Seattle because of all our very steep hills. Since I end up staying home till the roads clear I can get a little stir crazy.

After our gazebo collapsed we shoveled all the snow off the deck and it’s still clear. The snow is melting off the roofs and slowly melting off the yards and streets.

We got out and about Saturday and Sunday. We went to our Mexican restaurant down the hill for dinner last night and this morning we went to church. It was great to get out. After church we did a little shopping and now it feels good to be sitting at home again. So far we have been fortunate to have not lost power. Katie and Andrew continue their journey across the U.S. from Salt Lake City to North Carolina tomorrow. Dear goes back to work tomorrow and I have errands to run all over town. Hope you had a nice weekend.

I’m linking up with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday!

  1. You’ll land in spring long before I will so I am trying terribly hard to be properly empathetic. ☺What beautiful photos of your world in snow!

  2. The snow is certainly beautiful, and lots of photo ops. I like those flower pot snow cupcakes! Looks like good weather for nestling inside with a good book, a fire in the fireplace, and a pot of soup on the stove. I hope your cabin fever abates real soon!

  3. Oh wow, it looks like you had more snow than I got here in Maryland. Love the photos, but I have to agree with you. I could do without the snow and would be very happy if I was living in Florida right now. LOL! Wonderful post and photos. Have a great week!

  4. My step daughter and grandson are in your area. She was a little stir crazy when I talked with her on Saturday and looking forward to going back to work on Monday! Your photos really tell the tale! Stay warm and cozy and make plans for the new gazebo!

  5. We’ve been hearing on our news how Seattle has been walloped with snow. Your photos are beautiful, and you can take heart in knowing that the white stuff never lasts too long out this way. Spring is on the way!

  6. Thanks so much for stopping by the Back Porch, Ellen. We have had only a little bit of snow this year. I keep thinking we will be hit in February. I do not drive in snow!!! I was lucky to be in car pools when I was working, so someone more adept did the driving! At one time I lived atop a high hill in our county. The Superintendent of Schools would always call, during snow, to see if folks were making it up the hill. If they were, he kept school open!

  7. Have had very little winter here in IN,,, as a matter of fact we are under a tornado watch right now. I’d like to have some snow right now. Perhaps, you could send some my way!!! Have a wonderful week!!

  8. We went to the Bridal Show today, but had a hard time walking upright in the gale force winds. I’m ready for spring too!

  9. The west coast of the US and Canada have gotten a lot of snow lately. The good thing is it won’t last long. Spring is just around the corner for you! Have a great week and thanks for visiting. Pamela
