January is a very significant month of birthdays in our family.
Both of our sons were born in January. Katie’s due date was in January, too, but she decided to come at the end of December. All three of our kids were born on a Friday.
Josh was born on January 19, at 7:34 a.m. weighing in at a solid 10 pounds!
Daniel was born on January 16, at 12:30 P.M. weighing in at 8 pounds 1-1/2 ounces.
Daniel loved to have a Choo Choo Train cake. I even made him one for an adult birthday of his.
Brothers and friends, a wonderful blessing!
Today is also my friend Judy’s birthday from the Mennonite Girls Can Cook. You’ll want to click over there and see the ice storm that hit her area on one of her birthdays past…and wish her a happy birthday. It’s one of those “big” birthdays!
Sunday is my brother Tim’s birthday and next Wednesday is Miss Hope’s 4th birthday. Lots of very special people were born in January!
Dear and I are pretty much snowed in. The snow and icy rain just keep falling here in the Seattle area. We have seriously considered the necessity of having at least one snow worthy vehicle at this old house. Something 4WD with some good traction tires is on my new wish list. Just be forewarned you haven’t seen the last of the snow shots from our little part of the world. Thankfully we still have power and Dear is working from home. Our traveling kids have encountered many slick roads but have navigated well. They have one more treacherous pass to cross today. I’m thankful for the facebook updates and the calls that tell me they are doing just fine.
Hope all is well in your corner of the world!
Awww your boys look so sweet – and so much like the pictures of my boys when they were little! A very Happy Birthday to them and to all the special Jan people. Hope you’re having fun eating those storm cupcakes!! Praying for safe journeys for your travelling kids. xo
Oh I love the shots of your cute little boys! The one in front of the door with sweater vests is darling. Is it okay to say that about boys? They’ve grown to be handsome men which bring you so much joy.
Happy Birthdy to them both.
Sweet pictures. Continue to pray for traveling mercies for K and A!
I hope that by now K and A are over that last pass. I’m home, safe and sound and very happy to be here! going out now to take snow photos…of course!
Your boys were and still are adorable.
Trying to figure out what was so romantic about April that got you preggers so often. Easter eggs as aphrodesiacs? April Fool’s Day epic joke? Tax Day Celebration?
Hmmm…guess that will remain yours and Dear’s private secret!
How cute! I am sure they love you posting their baby pics, lol!
I saved my son’s coat like that, my 3 gsons all wore it! They loved running in and showing me they had their daddy’s coat on!
This was soooo fun! I wonder if the guys enjoyed it as much as us….your readers:) They look like great buddies! Glad you had such a great family time this past week.
Happy Birthday guys!
Now….take a snow day and enjoy…and stay safe!
Praying for those traveling kids. Love the pictures of the boys when they were little. As I traveled across Kansas today I heard about the weather up your way. Be safe and I hope your power stays on. I love my fireplaces when the power goes out.
Love the shots of your birthday boys from by-gone days! And thanks for the birthday greetings you sent my way. 🙂
I love the pictures! It brings back such sweet memories. I’m so glad that you all were together for Daniel’s birthday. Put another log on the fire!
January sure sounds like a prolific month for your family! Actually, I’ve just come back from a birthday dinner for my eldest brother, today Jan. 19. But October is our prolific month. 😉
Those pictures are so sweet, Ellen!
A fun look at life some time back.. when I did not know you yet.. Love those pictures of the boys in matching suits!
