I’m dreamin’ tonight of a place I love
Even more then I usually do
And although I know it’s a long road back
I promise you
I’ll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I’ll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
At 4:48 A.M. I received a text from Katie saying “He’s in my arms”. It was a long wait but we are so thankful to God for Andrew’s safe return from Afghanistan. His whole unit came back safe and sound. It really is one of the best Christmas presents.
Merry Christmas to one and all!
Wonderful news – God bless you and your whole family
YAY!!! I have a few tears flowing! So happy for them! Merry Christmas Ellen…I’m sure your momma’s heart is overflowing with joy for them!
SOOOO rejoicing with you all! I’d be beside myself with joy too!!
A beautiful Christmas blessing. I’m happy for them, and for you. Young love is so beautiful to see….sigh!
Alleluia! His whole unit home safely. The best Christmas gift for so many families!
How wonderful! Praise the Lord!
I can’t even begin to imagine the ‘hopes and fears of all the years’ that your family felt and is feeling this holiday. A very special Christmas for you indeed.
Welcome Home Andrew…….and Katie, you keep him in those arms of yours, hold on tight π
This is exactly what we have been praying for since you deployed Andrew and I couldn’t be more thrilled for you both!
Oh Ellen, this is so wonderful! You all must be giving a big sigh of relief. It’s so great that you and Greg helped “feather the nest”. Merry Christmas!
Wonderful news to have him back home!

What a good word! It warms the heart.
That would be the best gift I had received. What a wonderful photo and we continue to share with you in your joys.
All of them home safe. I imagine there was not a single wish more fervently wished for by all the families at home. Tiny tear of joy for all of them spilling here too.
So glad to hear that Katie and Andrew are reunited.
You had us all tearfully rejoycing with your Katie and Andrew!
