See this tree on the cart?
It’s still outside my house in this original state. Saturday is the appointed day to cut the base and cut away some limbs and bring it in the house!
No way is it going to look like any of these great decked out trees I saw at Molbaks nursery in Woodinville, Washington.
I enjoy looking at all these trees decorated with fabulous themes in mind but I’m content with my homey classic tree with all our ornaments that have been gathered over the years.
There were other fun displays in this great store, too.
Today…Saturday…our tree is going up and getting trimmed.

No proper tree in our house yet, but soon. I like the owl in the last tree. I do have a white feather owl in my tumbleweed tree. Happy decorating.
My day holds cooking, cleaning, preparing…but the decking out is done. Have fun with your tree.
I know that your homey tree is the going to be the sort that I prefer above all others.
My Saturday? I little wrapping, perhaps a little baking and then tonight, the traditional yearly party at the home of friends.
Glory, those trees were crazy. I LOVE the home trees filled with memories. However I’m a little distressed that you don’t really know what your tree will look like. I remember when I was growing up going to pick a tree out and it was spread out in all it’s glory. You really do take a gamble don’t you? (v: I couldn’t have a real tree now…too many with allergies but I would love to get one for our front porch. I’m also feeling an urge to FLOCK it. (v: But not this year. I’m making Firey Roasted Garlic and Tomato Soup. It is smelling GRAND in here. Hope your week is sweet with abiding as we look ahead to celebrating Jesus birth!
No tree at all here this year–we’ll be gone. Like you, I prefer the home styled kind hung with ornaments with memories.
Today’s agenda: grocery shopping at the farmers market, house cleaning, yard work…etc…
