I’ve posted some photos of our early Thanksgiving meal already but wanted to add these for Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. If you want to see some great table settings click on over and check all the latest posts.
The table was set for 12. Since I only had 10 of my Yorkshire dishes I added these two Johnson Brothers Plates to the mix.
These are the Yorkshire Staffordshire Ironstone plates, a country road with a hay wagon. The colors were perfect for Thanksgiving.
Wouldn’t you know when I went to pull out my green goblets there were only 11. I scouted out a local Antique Mall hoping to find at leastย 1 more but there was nothing close to these so when I came across a set of 7 amber colored goblets at a good price I decided to mix and match 6 of each for the table.
I was real happy to find these bird place card holders last week. It’s not easy finding non-Christmas themed holders this time of year. Our daughter Katie printed the names on each card for our table.
We had a wonderful time around the table. We decided to serve Susan’s Champagne Punch while waiting for the turkey. It was very tasty with the hint of cinnamon and cloves.
On Thanksgiving Day I’ll be sharing this punch when we join friends for a 2nd Thanksgiving meal. Life is rich!
Looking forward to seeing more Scapes around the Blogisphere.
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iโm slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
It is so difficult to find last minute things to decorate tables for Thanksgiving. Seems everyone put fall stuff on sale last week and moved on to Christmas. So I’m going to be hitting some friends farms looking for bittersweet and other goodies. I gave up on place cards. Your table looks great. Brilliant to mix up the two glasses…looks perfect.
Beautiful, Ellen! Okay, I chuckled at your 11 green goblets… hadn’t you mentioned before that you have more than 200 glasses/goblets… and you couldn’t find that one from your stash to match the other 11? ๐ It’s time to go thrifting again, my friend. ๐
What a beautiful table! I love the way you mixed the goblets, good idea! So do you think you will find the 12th? ๐ It looks like a great time, a lot to be thankful for!
You set a very inviting table! We have wild turkeys here too. They hang out with the deer. Sounds like a good meal!
Just a great table, I love the mix and match goblets! Beautiful setting-enjoy:@)

Such ambiance! What a lovely, cozy, autumnal gathering.
How dreamy! Love how the plates stand out so nicely, and how orderly everything looks. Adorable photo of the gathering.
Don’t you just HATE that when you think you have enough and the horrible reality is that you are ONE short??!?!?!?! Good save, though! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week!
Beautiful table. The place cards are wonderful – I always forget them….Maybe I will remember for Christmas.
We are having 2 Thanksgiving dinners this year as well. It’s my favorite meal!

What a beautiful early Thanksgiving table! I love the mixed matched goblets. Those colors blended so well together, it looks intentional. Love your dishes too! Very pretty!
Beautiful table! I love that you mixed and matched….Happy Thanksgiving!
Such a beautiful and welcoming table! I love Friendly Village and have it myself, but the Yorkshire is so interesting and beautiful. It is hard to believe that in your stash you couldn’t find the right color goblets. It’s great how you alternated them to make it all work.

You solved your stemware dilemma in a gorgeous fashion. The new goblets are lovely. Your dinnerware is exquisite and a perfect choice for your Thanksgiving tablescape. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
Your table is gorgeous and huge…I am not a matchy person so mix and match suits me to a tee!
I came here for FFF but I couldn’t resist admiring your plates, glasses and goblets. They’re sooooo beautiful!
Ellen, how wonderful that your table is wide enough to seat to people on each end. Your table looks beautiful. I think the mixture of the 2 colors of stemware make the table much more interesting, and the two china patterns blend beautifully. Those place card holders are so sweet. I would like to run across some like that. laurie
