Happy Mosaic and Blue Monday to you! Visit Mary at Little Red House and Sally at Smiling Sally to join in the fun.
On Saturday we had our first and last wedding dress shopping debut for Katie. She chose the 8th dress she tried on for her special day. We all agreed it was the one. She looked stunning in 7 out of the 8 dresses she tried on. On Monday the dress will be ordered. Our experience at Bellevue Bridal Boutique was great and we would recommend the shop and staff to anyone in Western Washington looking for a dress. We don’t have a date for the wedding because Katie is marrying a Marine who is in the middle of his training. We hope to have a better idea of when the wedding can take place by December. Until then we are getting all our best choices for venues etc. organized so we can hit the ground running when the date is set.
After we ordered the dress my sister Lana (Aunt Lana) treated Katie, Laura and I to a wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris in Bellevue.
If any of you are wondering about the blue, it’s all in the jeans!!
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iβm slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
What fun! How nice for your daughter to find THE dress. I went to the site and have bookmarked it. The Great Dane and I will be in Bellevue over the second weekend in December (a little shopping, a little R&R, a little dining out!) and I’ll peek in…..purely research!
Now comes the hard part, though….what will you wear?
Ha…indeed what will I wear. I’m hoping to get back in better shape before I start shopping :0)
How wonderful! Shopping for THE dress and finding it in one stop! Now, we’ll wait to see what you find!!!!!
What fun to be shopping for a wedding dress. It all sounds like a very exciting time for your family. Many blessings to your daughter and her husband to be and the entire family as you plan for a wedding. (Made even more exciting by not knowing the date. π )
What an exciting time π Congrats on finding the perfect dress! Sounds like a fabulous day!
Wow, what a relief to find it so quickly…and then a nice celebration
What wonderful memories!!! I know how much I treasure mine! Wishing you well!
What fun! I remember how much I loved this stage of the game! Have a wonderful week. Sandi
What fun it must be shopping for, and finding, the right wedding dress with your daughter! I hope I will have the same experience one day soon π Such a happy mosaic, Ellen!
Aw, what a sweet post! Your daughter is so beautiful — what gorgeous hair! Congratulations and best of luck to her and her fiance. π
Oh wow, what a productive trip! Now that you have gotten the dress, you can move on to other things… π
How fun & exciting! She’ll make a lovely bride π
I was all into the dress and the wedding until you mentioned Ruth’s Chris…then I went to a place of warm bread and creamed corn…and, and…
ok, I back!
It’s really awesome that you got the dress all figured out so easily…that takes so much pressure off!
m ^..^
Oh, this brings back such wonderful memories of dress shopping with my daughter 3 years ago. Special times!
How exciting! And yo think she only had to try on 8 dresses to find the right one. π
Okay I gotta know the one dress that didn’t make the “stunning” list what Katie looked like in it? LOL Better you guys than me having to go through that. I despise shopping LOL I rather see the photos like this and say how cool and bet they had fun than having to endure the shopping LOL I think I’d best shut up now before my hole gets any deeper LOL π
My only daughter eloped…no wedding dress or fru-fru anything! It’s so fun to “experience” this with you thru blog world..thx for sharing it with us!!! π
Oh…that just looked like such a fun time…all around. And a succesful outing at that! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Wow! That was easy! One stop shop!
Congratulations. A wedding is such a happy time. It must have been such fun watching your daughter try on dresses. I posted on a wedding too.
Oh, Ellen, how exciting! It’ll be a gorgeous picture with your lovely daughter in that special gown.
Happy Blue Monday.
I love shopping for weddings! I just did mine for my niece. Loved the feeling being there for friends and relatives who are preparing for their big day. Loved all your smiles. Thanks for sharing your joy.
Our entry is @Zoe’s World.
Ellen, I’m so happy your daughter found a perfect dress! And you are so wise to line as much up as possible. Good going!
And as to blue, you all look fantastic in your jeans. Makes me want to go on a diet and join you! π
Happy Blue Monday…
XO,
Sheila π
Squeee!! Love seeing the mother/daughter joy looks. Can’t wait to see the gown, did she go strapless or ???
With her figure I’ll bet she did look good in all the dresses!
The dress is strapless but straps are going to be added to it…
So exciting! All of you look like you are having so much fun! I agree with others. The MOB dress was more difficult for us than the wedding gown. We all loved the 4th gown our daughter tried on! When it came time to pick my dress, I eventually ended up sitting on the floor, in tears, in the dressing room of about the 20th store I had visited! I did find the dress I wanted, but not until I had done a lot of shopping! OOOO, I love a wedding when the groom is in a Marine uniform. I can’t wait to see the wedding photos. Have fun! laurie
Great photos – I love your blue take on things. Happy Blue Monday.
