Before the Summer Slips Away ~

I’m posting my last Summer Tablescape and joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for her weekly event.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you enjoy your last week of summer. I’ll be in South Carolina for the last day of summer and beginning of fall. I’m hoping the weather turns more fall like by then in the South but I know that will probably not be the case.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. Iā€™m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Wow, Ellen – you sure know how to put a pretty table together.
The colours remind me of something else with a retro theme!

  2. What a lovely tablecloth and napkins! They coordinate beautifully with the reds and blues in your dinnerware. Such a colorful, pretty table! Nicely done, Ellen.
    Blessings, Beth

  3. I don’t think I’ve ever seen red dishes with such a nice, bold red. Often, they are more muted. I really love yours and the way they look with the vintage tablecloth and all of the other vivid colors. VERY summery!!

  4. Very pretty I love the red and blue combo and I love how you pulled the yellow out. I love the tablecloth.
Thanks for sharing this. Come over and see mine you might get sand in your toes!

  5. That table cloth!!!! Love it!
I’m drumming my fingers, looking at the calendar, getting ready to put away our Spring/summer dishes for our Fall/Winter set.
The fall colors are beginning to dot our hillsides!

  6. Oh Ellen, this table is delightful! Love the vintage tablecloth, and I love those napkins. Such pretty plates too! I’m so glad I came over to see this. laurie

  7. What a fantastic vintage table linen. I love the cherries – they are so cheerful! And your dishes coordinate so perfectly. It is a lovely table to celebrate the end of summer.

  8. You had me immediately with the wonderful vintage table topper mixed with the blue undercloth…my name is Cherry Kay, so I’m always ‘eyes wide open’ to anything with cherries. I really like the red dinner plate, in particular. It mixes so well with the blue accent plate. You have a great eye for balance and proportion. Thank you for sharing your charming design.
