Some of my family was visiting and my niece had a birthday coming up so we decided to celebrate in the Northwest before she celebrated in the Southwest!
There were 10 of us for dinner. We had roasted leg of lamb, potatoes & carrots, and salad. For dessert we had a Creamy frozen Raspberry pie. I forgot to take pictures of the main course but did take a photo of the dessert.
My sister Kathy and I picked these wild Sweet Peas on the river trail earlier in the day on a walk.
Here’s the dessert we enjoyed.
I’ve been away from Tablescape Thursday for a while. Hope you all are doing well. Please visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see more Tables from around the blog world.
TRUE CONFESSION # 9 or 10, I’ve lost count. I had to be very particular where I aimed my camera for these photos. This was the last day of two weeks of overnight company and we were busy everyday so….my kitchen/dining area was a mess wasn’t very tidy. I usually clear the decks when I do a tablescape but I just didn’t have time between playing with company and cooking so that is why you see very focused photos that show only the table. I also need to say that my brother totally cleaned up the space they used for the two weeks. He vacuumed their room, washed the bedding, put the bedding back on the bed, cleaned the bathroom, and washed my family room rug while he was here. AND he made breakfasts, too. He can come back anytime he wants!
Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
I’ve missed seeing these. Spectacular 🙂
Love the sweet peas! And the raspberry ice-cream pie…and all the coordinated table decor. Perfect!
Everything looks good to me! The sweet peas are so very colorful…and they are wild…what a thrill!! I’m glad you have good help! You deserve it!! I’ve loved catching up with your family thru your posts!!
Very pretty table. So fun you found the pretty pink sweet peas to finish the table look…or you knew they were there and planned around them….well done. I’m thinking I need to find a recipe for a pie like that…looks yummy. Your brother was raised well. We were taught to take all of our bath and bed linens to the laundry room where ever we stayed.
What a pretty color scheme! Those sweet peas are just magnificent, and your green glasses are perfect with that gorgeous table runner. The pie looks YUM!
Absolutely gorgeous! What a special time – good food AND good fellowship! Blessings!
I love the pink with the green, and of course, the pink depression glass. And your brother sounds like quite the helpful person!
Gotta love that brother of yours, Ellen!
And what a lovely table too!
Fabulous! I love the colors, so feminine. The napkins are so pretty and the dessert, mmmm yummy!…Christine
Very pretty setting. Love your green glasses!
That is such a pretty tablerunner! I love the way the design meanders. The sweet peas are the perfect touch. Your brother is a keeper!
So pretty…love the green and pink combination. The dessert looks delish, too!
I love sweet peas, yet I have never grown them. I must try!
Very pretty table, and the dessert looks wonderful!
Hope you have been well! It has been a very busy summer for sure, and ends too soon. Once school starts, we don’t get to see the gkids often. I will miss that! (we will be babysitting the 4 of them all day Sat., so ask me Sun and I may say something different! I know I will be tired!)
Even your dessert matches. The pinks and greens are wonderful. Lovely!
What a sweet tablesetting, Ellen.
Re: Your brother – all I can say is WOW! Your Mom and his wife must have taught him well. 🙂
The pink and green setting is beautiful, the napkins and sweet peas are lovely

One of my most favorite color combinations – so beautiful done! Just beautiful! 🙂 Just a reminder – my Friday Vignette’s post is tomorrow, and I’d love it if you’d link up! Even pictures from this post – the vignettes are great! 🙂 Hope you join in! 🙂 Artie
Love the color scheme of greens and pinks. Looks like you had a great meal!
Love the green and pink…the flowers are gorgeous!
Your true confessions made me giggle….welcome to my house, too. I always find that there is at least one thing that I don’t get done by the time of the party…No one ever seems to mind, and if they do, I don’t think that I need to invite them again. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
Oh, how pretty. I love the table runner over the tablecloth. The embroidery is really pretty and I love the pops of pink. Your choice of the olive green glasses really pulled it all together. Very nice. Oh, and the food sounds delicious too!
Ellen, this is so pretty! Love those pinks and yellows. Your table runner and napkins make the table so festive. And Oh! That Pie! It has my mouth watering. laurie
I love the little vase? that the sweet peas are in. Your brother sounds like a gem…I could use some visitors like that…or even some of the folks who live, if THEY would clean up, would be sooo nice.
I love the home style decor feel of the rooms! Those pinks and yellows give a nice 1960s feel to things.
