Tablescape Thursday ~ Fall in Seattle

Last week I was at my home in the Seattle area and got so busy visiting with our kids and getting the house ready for fall I couldn’t participate in Tablescape Thursday even though this table was set  for a family meal with our kids. I’m sharing it this week now that I’m back in California with a little more time on my hands.

Visit the lovely Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see more tables decked out for your enjoyment!

I forgot to take a photo of the family enjoying our meal at the table but it was really good. Our last BBQ of the season. We had steaks, fresh corn on the cob and zucchini also grilled and for dessert we had raspberry and apple pastry bites. Then we had a great time playing Beatles Rock Band.

We are so happy to be having some cooler temps since we arrived back in Southern California. It makes it feel more like Fall…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  1. I could have used YOUR green glasses this week!! LOL

Lovely tablesetting! I’m curious as to your napkin rings. Did you tie them yourself or did they come that way? They look very nice!

  2. What a pretty table! I really like the way you used all the gorgeous, warm colors. Your table is so very inviting. The stemware is so pretty!. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Ellen! Glad you’re back playing in your dishes! Your table is beautiful! Love the Fallness of color. I have glasses just like yours – clear and purple! I know, purple! 🙂

  4. What a beautiful table you’ve created! I love the green glasses. I have the same style glass in clear. I’ve even used them in this week’s tablescape over at my blog. My mother has them in a smoky brown color, which is also perfect for fall. They are just lovely. I also like the tablecloth. It reminds me of the bounty of a good harvest. Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!

  8. So lovely, Ellen!!! I love how the green goblets bring out the fall-ness of the table! I haven’t had time to play with my dishes lately… 😦 But I am glad you are – and I am able to enjoy the eye candies from your dishes!

  9. CUTE x 4!!!!! Ellen B., you have created yet another darling table scape!!! I’d love to know where you come up with your inspiration.

Did you click on the link in my blog post for the English Inn? That’s where hubby and I stayed and it was gorgeous. A little crumbly, but gorgeous! There was so much that needed repairing but it was still very enchanting. Oh, when you were there did you happen to visit Hatley Park? I think it was my favorite garden location ;-).

  10. Love the look of this tablescape with the wall color !! really a nice contrast!! So which place do you live in?? I am confused–Seattle or CA? My oldest son live just outside of Seattle –he works for Microsoft. I love that area, especially the mountains!!

  11. Oh–thanks for answering–I am so glad you kept your home in the Seattle area! Lake Washington is so pretty! One thing I loved about the whole area is all of the coffee shops–almost every corner and sometimes several in a block! We even saw drive -through coffee shops, ahhhhhhhh Wish we had those here in SC!!. My son lives in Bellvue now…he had lived in Redmond (spelling???).
