Blue at Butchart Gardens

OK..I admit it…I’m a postaholic so please scroll down to get to Mosaic Monday or Thrifty Monday if you aren’t using the direct links!

It’s time for Blue Monday!

A little blue from Butchart Gardens. It always makes me smile to see blue flowers. The stained glass window was from the Blue Poppy Restaurant in the gardens.

Visit Smiling Sally to see more Blue!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  1. Really fun…I always love anything stained glass. I have a suggestion for your Seattle garden. I saw a Himalyan Blue Poppy that I would LOVE to grow but alas they say it is best suited for your part of the world….would you please plant some and spread the word in your part of the world…let them take over the Northwest….PLEASE….because then you would have LOTS of pictures for Blue Monday and I would be very happy. that is all… :o) By the way I like that you’re a postaholic…confession is good for the soul…now don’t you feel better. lol

  2. Lovely blue post, Ellen… I love those blue poppies in stained glass! “Postaholic”– love that… and so glad you post so often. :o) Happy Days ((HUGS))

  3. We have a Butchart gardens in Victoria, B.C. We used to live in Vancouver, and we would take the big ferry over to the gardens….Just beautiful.
Randy and I got married in a garden in Vancouver called Queen Elizabeth gardens…outside on a beautiful sunny day. That was 21 years ago.
    Happy Blue Monday Ellen.

  5. Butchart Gardens is my all time favorite garden! I’ve been twice when traveling in that area. I find it amazing that Mrs. Butchart transformed an ugly pit of a quarry into these glorious gardens. Thanks for sharing these blue flowers. Hope to see you over at Hyacinths For The Soul anytime.
