Six Little Ducks…

Six Little Ducks

Six Little Ducks that I once knew, fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones, too.
But the one little duck with the feather on his back
He ruled the others with a quack quack quack
He ruled the others with a quack quack quack

Down to the meadow they would go
Wibble Wobble Wibble Wobble to and fro
But the one little duck with the feather on his back
He ruled the others with a quack quack quack
He ruled the others with a quack quack quack!

Have a great Saturday everyone. I’m off for a 6 mile walk with my buddies, after which I’m kicking up my feet and watching the Sounders Soccer Game and then I’m going to a West coast wedding reception for a friend who got married on the East Coast in June. Thankfully it’s a very casual reception since we’re expecting the temps to be close to 90 degrees.

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. Oh, I love that poem — it’s been many years since I heard it. ‘Twas my mother who used to read it, I believe. Do you have a source or author?

BTW, I just have to tell you — that I ‘found’ a silver samovar for $5.00 at a yard sale. It’s dated 1906. I am purely delighted! But, I am uncertain as to how to use it. Do you have a tutorial on your blog? How do I decant the tea? This one has a burner below — which I haven’t figured out yet either. But — happy dance — big time!!!!! It is a treasure, for sure!

  2. Such a sweet little poem, Ellen B.

90 degrees in Washington!!!! Oi Vey!!!! That is going to be a miserable day ;-).
Hey Ellen, my friend was telling me that you can take the ferry from Anicortes and stop on each of the smaller Islands. Do you know anything about that? I’ve purchased my airfaire and car rental, but nothing else. Must get moving…before I know it, it’ll be right around the corner.

Have a lovely day and try to stay cool.

    oxoxo Cori G.

  3. Awww, yes, Cori. G — the ferry hopping from Anacortes is so much fun! One of my very favorite things to do! I’m eager to hear Ellen’s suggestions!

  4. Hi, I just found your blog from Willow’s, I saw Miss Tiggywinkle in your picture and thought you would enjoy my recent blog posts. I have just got back from holiday where we were fortunate enough to go and visit Hill Top, Beatrix Potter’s home. I loved your duck photo 🙂 Catherine (
