My daughters, niece and I visited the University of Washington campus this week and strolled into the beautiful Suzzallo Library.
The reading room is amazing!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
I LOVE old college campus buildings…that seems so inspiring…beautiful
Awesome windows! It looks more like a cathedral than a library.
gorgeous!
What a beautiful library!! gorgeous windows and atmosphere.
Great shots for the theme!
Fantastic library! I could live here, indeed. And that lamp, truly unique! Wonderful, simply wonderful!
Very pretty. This looks more like a church than a library.
That’s a LIBRARY??? Gorgeous, and it really does look more like a church. I think I’d be too distracted to study there.
I don’t think I’d get any reading done in there. Amazing!
Wow, looks more like a church than a library. That is a beautiful building. Great photos!!!
I am SURE I would learn more if I were sitting in there reading!
Their length is breathtaking. Such a gorgeous library!

Great Photos! I cannot discover the general contractor….Is
this info available for the (old) beautiful buildings on the U of W
campus? thanks.
Spokane Bill,
I do not know who the general contractor was. There is more history about the library in an earlier post of mine found here…
