Friday’s Fave Five ~ July 3rd

Welcome to Friday’s Fave Five hosted by Susanne at Living to Tell the Story. This weeks favorites come from the State of Washington.

1. My first favorite was crossing the Columbia River into Washington from Oregon and knowing we had just 3 more hours to be at our home. We made the road-trip from California to Washington on Sunday. I will be in Washington for the next 6 weeks.

2. Having all our kids around the dinner table. It’s always fun to enjoy a meal together.

3. Getting the patio put together and ready for our 4th of July party.

4. My old double oven was getting questionable so we ordered a new one. It arrived on Thursday and Dear installed it. I’m going to bake some cookies on Friday to break it in and test it!

5. I love summer fruit. My favorite is a Nectarine. I’ve been enjoying some this week.

If you are living in the U.S.A. I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July.

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

About Ellen am a wife, mother, baba (grandmother) and a loyal friend. Jesus is my King and my hope is in my future with Him.

  1. A double oven!! Cool!

Do you know what? I don’t think I’ve ever tried a fresh nectarine. I had them canned as child and didn’t really like them. But I bet fresh nectarine are another taste all together. I’m going to buy some today.

Have a wonderful festive weekend with your family!

  2. Recognized the bridge! Enjoy your weekend with your family and friends! I can’t imagine you without a working oven. Hurray for new ones!

  3. Oh goodness! A double oven would NOT be on my list of favorite things! I don’t even want a SINGLE oven! LOL! But if you enjoy that type of thing … HURRAY for you — and for your family too! 🙂

Have a great 4th and enjoy your party!

  4. How wonderful to have family around you. That’s great. My favorite summertime fruit is watermelon. Have a great day and Happy FFF 🙂

  5. I didn’t share today in Susanne’s because there was just too much.
I love the simplicity of your selection for today.
I feel at home on your site.

  6. A new oven!! Oh how wonderful!! I’ll bet you’re going to talk about all the wonderful things you made in it in next week’s fave five huh? I don’t live in America, but I do wish you a happy fourth of July!

  7. Great list…and welcome back to our ‘neck of the woods’! Washington is just a hop, skip and a jump away…and though we may not live in the USA…we’ll help you celebrate July 4th.

I have a double oven as well…and love it!

  8. Ellen, I always feel like saying welcome home. . .since you are at least heading in my direction when you come from California.

Your patio looks perfect for your celebrations tomorrow. Enjoy!

  9. Your kitchen looks great with that double oven! Your patio, too, looks wonderul. I hope you have a great 4th of July!

Sorry I’m late coming by today — the yard sales were a bust! I didn’t buy a thing, so I went regular shopping 😦

  10. Your already eating nectarines? Lucky you!

Glad you had a safe journey back to your home in Seattle. Love the pic with the family around the table. I love when my whole family is seated around the kitchen together.
