Welcome to Metamorphosis Monday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. I really think this is going to be fun. I’m in different stages of metamorphosing some things so for today I’m digging one up from the past. Now don’t be too shocked when you see the “before” shot.
My daughter’s room before…
My daughter’s room after I helped her clean up (What a nice mommy, I am)
Now all we have to do is re-decorate!!
For more transformations visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007 to 2015 hostage and has replaced them all with ugly black and grey boxes asking for a ransom to have them re-published. Such a frustrating bother as I go through each post to delete the ugly boxes.
Oh my…looks like my daughter’s room! I wonder if I can find a before/after of HER room!
WOW, our youngest’s room can look kind of like that when she comes home for Christmas. Our girls both have friends who live like that ALL the time….not for me.
Fabulous!
Wow! I clean my youngest son’s room and within 30 min. it looks just like that. Great job in cleaning it up. It looks wonderful.
Wendy
Great job…. I guess all daughters are pretty much the same!
Carol
Wow! I bet she found things she had forgotten about. Great job. laurie
OK, now I don’t feel so bad about my chidren’s rooms as they were growing up (and even now). You are a good mommy!
Hi Ellen, This reminds me of my son’s room when he was in high school. Fortunately, he is a lot neater now…so they do get better. As Willow said, you are a good Mommy! 🙂 Great transformation! Susan
And she is related to us! OY! Love her dearly! 🙂
OK…can you come over to my house now? 🙂
I’ve got a living room that you can come work on if you’re so inclined….just imagine 5 zillion itty bitty toys to sort!! I take it this wasn’t at your condo??
WOW!!!!!! What a transformation — you are definitely a GREAT Mom!!!
Happy Met Monday! What a wonderful transformation! Your daughter is very lucky to have a mommy like you to help her.. hugs ~lynne~
Good job! How long did the “after” room stay that way?
I have a son whose room looks like your before photo. He cleans it up by washing every article of clothing that is on his floor (whether they be clean or dirty). Then he piles up the clean clothes on his bed & when he goes to bed, they all end up back on the floor & the cycle continues.
Luckily, I have another son who is a neat freak. I’ve never had to tell him to clean his room. In fact, he used to ask me if it was OK if he cleaned his room. Can you believe that?
I am sooo happy to see that my girl isn’t the only one with this kind of room (lol) this is a great start and your a great mommmy for helping;) French
I’m doing the same with my girl’s room- only she’s gone – and I’ll tell you, it’s much easier to clean, sort and throw away when she’s not here. She’s a pack-rat like her dad.
Wow, my daughter’s room looked like that until she went away to college. Now it only looks like that when she comes home, even if she’s only here for a day lol. Great job.
Well Ellen B., when I saw this photo I thought you had stolen one of mine from childhood, but then I realized nothing looked familiar…except the mess :).
Ellen, now this is a post that only a mom can do. . and get away with. I love the before and after and tell your daughter that she is a great sport. Happy redecoratiing.
Wonderful job, Ellen … sure wish I could convince my college-aged sons to let mom help clean their rooms :o)

My reaction was “Good Grief” when I saw that first photo. What a job that was to clean up that room.
I think your daughter needs to meet my son. I feel better already!
Great job, mom, on a neat and tidy room! 😉
Love

Your daughter? I’m surprised she didn’t inherit her mother’s seemingly perpetual orderliness 😉
LOL! Looks great!
