The lovely Susanne at Living to Tell the Story hosts Fridays Fave Five where we recap our favorites from the past week.
I met Dear in San Francisco on Saturday to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary so here are my Faves from the time we spent there and a couple from home.
1. Celebrating our Anniversary with a walk around the city and dinner at Scoma’s Italian Fish Restaurant in Fisherman’s Wharf and our lunches at Johnny Foley’s Irish Pub.
2. Walking into some old churches with the most amazing interiors and stained glass windows.
3. The 4 story Christmas Tree at Nieman Marcus in San Francisco and all the other wonderful Christmas displays in the city.
4. Coming home and seeing the Tumbleweed tumbling around the neighborhood!
5. Finding treasures at my favorite thrift stores in both Washington and Camarillo. These sweet Brambly Hedge Tea cups, 1 for each season, were found at Goodwill in Washington. Only the Autumn one has the saucer so I’ll have to be on the lookout for the other saucers. :0)

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007 to 2015 hostage and has replaced them all with ugly black and grey boxes asking for a ransom to have them re-published. Such a frustrating bother.
It’s been years since I’ve seen Tumbleweeds. That made me smile that you included them in your favorite five.
Yes, the tumbleweeds have started tumbling. I think I first noticed them last week. I’m glad your visit to San Francisco was so great!
Love those tea cups!
Oh I love Brambly Hedge – such sweet scenes 🙂
As for that tree, wow! How lovely that you got to be in a festive San Francisco.
Happy anniversary! Sounds like a neat visit all the way around!
Oh……#5 is to good to be true!
San Francisco at Christmas time is one my favorite places in the world! And so many good places to eat!
What a treasure to find in those beautiful teacups! You have a very fun list this week!
Where I live – we have tumbleweeds all the time!
The old churches must be absolutely beautiful. I love their architecture and stained glass.
Happy Anniversary, Ellen! It sounds like you had a wonderful trip.
Those Brambly Hedge teacups are breathtaking.
The cups! The cups! Must get myself to the Goodwill tout de suite!
I love those tea cups, Ellen! I sure hope you can find the saucers.
Have a wonderful weekend!
That is a lovely list. And those teacups are precious.
That tree is amazing. Four stories! Really! That must be a sight.
Wow! Brambly Hedge cups – I think your Goodwill is a step up from our VV.
Gorgeous pictures and I adore the teacups…thanks for the “walk” around San Francisco…we were there in Thanksgiving 1997 and I loved that visit! Enjoy the holiday season
