I copied this recipe from the Mennonite Girls Can Cook blog. Anneliese posted it with her recipe and instructions that you can find by clicking here.
This was not difficult to make and it is so pretty on a cake plate on the table. I loved the different layers of crust, cream cheese, apples and nuts. Yummy…
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and demanding a ransom for me to access them. I’m slowly cleaning up many of my posts where PB have added ugly black and grey boxes where my photos used to be. So frustrating!
Sounds good especially this time of year. Love your cake plate.
I love that blog. This looks so wonderful. Maybe I’ll include this in our Thanksgiving feast, always looking for something new to add.
I just got very hungary looking at this! Very lovely!
oops…hungry
Hi, Ellen! It’s not lunch yet, but already I want dessert–LOL! This looks sooo good…mmm….And your cake stand is just as lovely too! Happy Day ((HUGS))
You know, Ellen, I am thinking that this apple torte and the pumpkin praline triffle could easily replace apple pie and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving! Still traditional enough but with a new twist. Both look delicious!
That looks delicious. I also loved the photograph below of the nesting dolls. My father visited Russia when my daughter was a small child and he brought her back some nesting dolls which were her favorite toy. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
A very lovely looking dessert – I’m sure it tastes good as well.
There is something about nesting dolls that has always appealed to me – it’s kind of neat the way they all fit into one another. I have a Santa set that I pull out every Christmas.
I am definitely going to try this AND the pumpkin recipe — will let you know how they turn out… 🙂
