The King Shall Come When Morning Dawns
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And light triumphant breaks;
When beauty gilds the eastern hills,
And life to joy awakes.
Not as of old a little child
To bear, and fight, and die,
But crowned with glory like the sun
That lights the morning sky.
O brighter than the rising morn
When He, victorious, rose,
And left the lonesome place of death,
Despite the rage of foes.
O brighter than that glorious morn
Shall this fair morning be,
When Christ, our King, in beauty comes,
And we His face shall see.
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And earth’s dark night is past;
O haste the rising of that morn,
The day that aye shall last.
And let the endless bliss begin,
By weary saints foretold,
When right shall triumph over wrong,
And truth shall be extolled.
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And light and beauty brings:
Hail, Christ the Lord! Thy people pray,
Come quickly, King of kings.

I’m unfamiliar with this one, but I love it! We should always be in constant expectation of our Lord’s return.
This is a new one to me. Thanks for sharing.
Even so come, Lord Jesus!
I’ve never heard this one before. It’s beautiful as is the picture.
I hope that day comes sooner than later.
Good morning Ellen B.,
I was reading this lovely Hymn when my little mouse scrolled down to the beautiful Victorian. Sweet hubby and I really do need to make a day trip to your lovely town to see the sights. There seems to be so much history there.
On another note, I’m tossing out some dates. I have available on Fridays the following: November 7&21. Saturdays in November I have available: 15 & 22. December I have available Fri. 12 or Saturday the 13th. So far I’m completely open for the month of January and February. Let me know if anything in there works for you.

When right shall triumph over wrong, and truth shall be extolled!
Come quickly Lord Jesus.
Breathtaking photo that fits that hymn perfectly, Ellen!
Amen, I totally agree with Kathy B!
Breathtakingly beautiful photograph.
Indeed – when He does come again, He will come as the KING who has ruled this world from everlasting to everlasting. Thanks for sharing!
